I heard somewhere that if someone is an organ donor and donates their organs to Science etc., then when they die and go to heaven they won't have those organs such as heart etc.. Anyone know if this is true?

but how many atheists have really thought about how short this life is compared to the rest of time and how relatively insignificant our time here is compared to eternity?

Many people die relatively young and with little or no warning such as in a car accident. But, even if someone lives to be 100, if they are 30 or 40 now, they would only have 60 to 70 years. What percentage is that of eternity?

i work with this girl and she has a boyfriend. i think she is straight but i get the weirdest vibes from her. when im not looking she will stare at me. when i look back at her she looks away...like she doesnt want me to know. she always makes sure i notice her at work. usually when she comes to talk to me she has someone else is there with her...ive hung out with her a couple times with friends but the vibes dont seem as bad. any one have any clue whats up with her? maybe its just me crushing.

your self-esteem?

I think freedom is freedom from things that overpower or enslave you...like addictions, or compulsive behaviors (lying, cheating, etc). In addition to being self-destructive, these things also lead to self-delusion... by making the effected person think it is a good thing, and they are "free", and do what they please. Any thoughts?

To clarify the question, I wanted to know how some people are able to find God's existence credible and verifiable, whereas others are able to completely reject the notion of 'God'. On the otherhand, we have fence sitters known as the agnostic. I'm interested in seeing which category you belong to and why you fit in the category, or have chosen to. Integrity and an objective approach is much appreciated. Thanks!

My husband just accused me of taking some documents that he was trying to hide from his briefcase.He had become even intimidating and had been a bit threatening.After he found them in the glove compartment in the car his attitude became quite friendly but there was no apology.
Should I even bother to wait for one?

Or that is just a myth? In my experiance I ,d say as of the present time they're both about equal in this regard.Though I remember in high school more girls than guys did it when yawning but that was years ago.But women tend to do it with the palm of thier hand rather than thier fist which men seem to prefer to use.

Any thoughts?

Not even a single scripture says that the Son is equal to the Father in those ways—and if there were such a scripture, it would establish not a Trinity but at most a “duality.” Nowhere does the Bible equate the holy spirit with the Father.

I know that Latin is a "dead language". I'll admit, I really don't know what that means. But I'll ask this question anyway.

Does conversational Latin exist? Are there people who speak it fluently? Can you take classes (besides the ones that lawyers and doctors take)?

Aren't you putting idols before God by worshipping a book?

Where does it say that you have to take it literally,
not metaphorically? Where is the basis to this belief about believing stories as literal fact word for word,
especially genesis and revelations, suspension of disbelief is really called for.

And I know this sounds like it should be a simple yes or no, but there is a lot about it. Anyway, here goes, well, my father is an Insurance Agent, and owns his own business, and is looking to start another. But my question has to do with, should I stay and go to college here where I live, and then become that insurance agent? Or follow my dreams, and head for NYC, or LA. And do something in modeling/acting, or just something in the entertainment field. The thing is that I am also gay. And no one knows, esp. my dad. I think I would feel trapped for life if I stay here, and do what my family wants me to do. I know it would be tough, but I don't know. What do you think. Thank you
