There were rumours in my family that my grandfather was part Mic Mac Indian. In my family, we're all british and some German (on my dad's side). My mom's family all came from Newfoundland where there were many Indians. Her father had dark leathery skin with high cheekbones. I feel like I am Indian, but can I say it?

I don't want any bs answers, give me a nice, long, honest heartfelt opinion and I'll consider it. No crap quoting the Bible either 'cause I don't believe in it and don't want to hear it. Thank you.

I answer all these dumb questions, then get cut off at my limit just when the questions start getting intelligent. I was going to say yes to Kosherink, that I asked the very same thing and felt the very same way. Does anybody else get cut off when they're on a roll?

Yesterday, a person described a classic case of sleep paralysis where the mind half-wakes during REM's body-paralysis stage, becomes scared of the paralysis, and projects the fear as a real form based on one's belief system. This is a well-known phenomenon and is treatable. Yet others were supporting her belief in demon possession, saying that she should do these religious rituals. Is it helpful to her to support her delusion? I'm really interested in whether this is harmful or helpful...

If Laura Bush took over George's job as president would the world be more peaceful and secure? (For example)
I'm not just looking for a "Yes, women are smarter"
I'd like some evidence or reference if possible. Or better still, an opinion that provides a thorough contention.

There's been too many UFO sightings, things on earth we can't explain as to how they came about when we didn't have the technology to create them.

I spend a lot of time secluded in my room (mostly pondering the existance of life and whatnot); sometimes even late into the night. I am not too social and do not have friends over often but I am also not ant-social, when in a social setting I have conversations/act normal. I am not creepy/goth/suicidal...I just am fascinated by the mysteries of this world and am constantly in deep thoght. I think it is unhealthy. How can I stop this?? I feel disconnected from the normal people and i think this is unhealthy. I've had lots of people ask me why I'm so pensive...I dont know what to say. I don't care for mundane matters...I mean sometimes I joke and have fun and forget about the serious stuff...but Im drawn into the world's phenomenas once again. Please help me be normal!! :-p

I am curious to know - i have heard you guys say the term "peanut and jelly sandwiches". This makes me think that what we Australians call Jam that you call Jelly. I was curious to know if you call the spread of fruit (whether it has chunks of fruit or not) on bread jelly. We call it jam or preserve. Then this is my question.......... what do you call the wobbly, sweet dessert that is flavoured crystals mixed with hot water and then set in the fridge? Because in Australia we call this jelly.

I know this sounds like a weird question - its just that me, and my children are just curious!

I want to know what people think of using the words "white" or "black" to describe someone. Some friends of mine find calling someone "black" is offensive while others feel it isn't. Is calling someone white less offensive or more offensive than calling someone "black"?

I read a news story that when James Brown died they kicked his common law wife out of the house and would not let her back on the property. They were not legally married and she has not been included in any of the ceremonies or tributes. She was White. Do you think this was racially motivated?
