our consciousness is rising right now. I see it in turms of fire (symbolicly). Fire is being poured across the earth right now. Many people are getting burned many are rising higher. Suffering will increase to awake those asleep from the nightmare. I don't see this as taking place at one specific moment such as dec 21 2012. However this will mark the begining of a new paradigm which is not really new, It is just new for the majority, and earthly governments if there are any in the new world, will mostly be based on the new paradigm (love, peace...) instead of one based on fear, insecurity and manipulation (the way wev'e always done it).
In any case future generations will look back on the year as the time of a radical change/shift even if most can't see it at the time. We've had shifts (that i can see) since the 1950's, yet they go unnoticed by most.

The Myans believed in cycles...one world ending and another beginning. Only time will tell if they are right in their predictions, although they have been proven right in many others. With the threat of global warming, etc., it is possible that 2012 will be the end of the world as we know it...but where there are endings there are also beginnings.

i believe ends are beginnings too..
hopefully a better world. will wars end and man start to appreciate the value of this earth?
i hope so.
if anyone finds this interesting, i can tell that in the past couple of years, i have been followed by the number '22' or '2'.
i see it everywhere i go. everytime i look at the clock, it's 22:22 or 02:00 or 00:22 and so on..
its kindda odd.
my birthday is on the 22. as well.

I have no idea what that radio show is.
The Mayan calendar isn't ending. The 12th Baktun of the Mayan Long Count is ending. 12-21-20012 is the first day of the 13th baktun. It's a time for energetic change. Doesn't mean the world is ending.

As i understand it...it will be much the same as what happened at the end of the previous Mayan cycle. In that all the things that man kind had made and and has control over will rebel agains him. In the prefious cycle it was farm tools and even pets. In the modern wold we have blenders, microwaves, shredders and a host of various impliments that could, should they become rebellious, be far worse than anything they could have imagined.
How would you like to have your own fax machine strangle you by grabbing your tie...or your blender chop you hand off...clear yup to your elbow...and we won't even think about what the family dog might do to your daughter...
all as punishment for man kinds wickidness...

That's so interesting that you just mentioned year 2012... I didn't know anything about the Myan calander (i'm gonna do research) but in a book that I was reading regarding alchamy science it mentioned that year as being the year that our sun will destroy itself... I guess Myan calander some how figured that out?
