If Laura Bush took over George's job as president would the world be more peaceful and secure? (For example)
I'm not just looking for a "Yes, women are smarter"
I'd like some evidence or reference if possible. Or better still, an opinion that provides a thorough contention.

Beyond the "figurehead" effect of the position representing the viewpoint of advisors, staff and cabinet? I think it ultimately has to do with the person, not their sex. On the otherhand there was a female senator (Montana?) who voted against declaring war in WW! and WW2 because she didn't want to be responsible for "all those boys getting killed" but it wasn't like we had a choice by that point, and the centuries are gone when oceans insulated us from madness on the otherside of the world. As long as there are people who want to attack, kill and enslave you and your country, you have to be willing and able to fight, and fight to win, no second place. Woman President or not, but a woman in that office is more likely to make other nations think it makes ours look weaker, as some foolishly underrated Margaret Thatcher at first. The Iroqouis Confederacy was run by the women elders, successfully until they got caught up in someone else's war.

No. Women can't get along with other women...even as grown adults they are amazingly catty in the workplace...sorry ladies, but you know it's true.

Like everything in life, we need a balance....men and women.

Women seem to do okay as prime ministers, like in India and Canada. The countries didn't fall to pieces.
