I want to know what people think of using the words "white" or "black" to describe someone. Some friends of mine find calling someone "black" is offensive while others feel it isn't. Is calling someone white less offensive or more offensive than calling someone "black"?

I think that to some people it depends on the race that you are, for instance, I myself describe people by their race like that white guy, or whatever. Some people say that it is offensive because I am not white and that if I was white it would not be as offensive. So I guess that it just depends on the situation.....
