God did for me

It was on the 7 April this year my daughter went into labour and things were not going too good and she had to have a caesarean and I prayed to God to help them both and my grandson was born dead and the doctors brought him back to life, the avatar is my grandson 5 months ago and he is growing strong and I thank God every day for saving my first grandchild and my daughter. I believe still today that my praying to God saved my grandson Tyson. I also know the doctors helped as well but God had a hand in it. Thank you God

Did you pray to God and had your prayers answered?

I already know the answer, I'm just looking for people to back me up on it so I have some ammo for an upcoming encounter. I'd tell you what I think, but I don't want to skew the results.

Have you seen these people and if you have what do you think about them. I mean they have no debt; they buy everything used; and built a house that they own!!! That's amazing!

Okay when I hear about people being rapists and murderers I don't call them sickos or psychos. For some reason, I think there is more to their story than the media actually presents. I don't believe there are bad people but people who make horrible mistakes or unforgivable mistakes. I highly doubt someone would just hurt someone intentionally. I think they must have been hurt before by someone and they are seeking vengeance. Not saying that i think that is right but I'm saying that i don't think murderers and rapists are 100% evil. i think something pushed them to make that decision. does anyone else feel this way?

Do you think atheists ignore the fact that religion is extremely beneficial to society?

Those who emphasize the good effects of religion never seem to realize that such effects fail to demonstrate the truth of any religious doctrine. This is why we have terms such as "wishful thinking" and "self-deception." There is a profound distinction between a consoling delusion and the truth.

In any case, the good effects of religion can surely be disputed. In most cases, it seems that religion gives people bad reasons to behave well, when good reasons are actually available. Ask yourself, which is more moral, helping the poor out of concern for their suffering, or doing so because you think the creator of the universe wants you to do it, will reward you for doing it or will punish you for not doing it

I was accused of quote mining in my last post, I find that ironic considering you do the same thing with the Bible? Why does it say this? Where does it say that? Prove this, prove that. Sorry, just thought it was humurous the double standard.

Is it true that prophet Mohamed married a Christian? I just want to know if this is true. I posted this question with another question, but I didn't get any response...Shouldn't both religions be side by side against all odds?

Well me and my old best friend started talking again after about 5 years and now in 2 months we became best friends. He knows i'm gay and we hang out almost everyday and we always talk on the phone and sometimes we do 3-way for a long time... sometimes over 2 hours with his best friend who is a girl. Also, me and his best friend also pick out his clothes before we go out and he always listens to me... foe example, I told him to get a haircut cause I didn't like his hair and he got his hair styled professionally and we always go shopping together. All of his best friends are girls and i'm his only guy best friend. I just want to know if he's gay.
What's your opinion?

One day, an angel came to him(Muhammad prophet of Islam) and asked him to read. The Prophet, who was illiterate, replied, “I do not know how to read.” The Prophet related the incident: The angel caught me forcibly and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it anymore. He then released me again and asked me to read and I replied, “I do not know how to read.” Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it anymore. He then released me and again asked me to read, but again I replied, “I do not know how to read” (or “What shall I read?”) Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said: [Read in the name of your Lord, who created, created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the most bountiful.]2,,,,,
ISAIAH29:11 And the vision of all is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which [men] deliver to one that is learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I cannot; for it [is] sealed:

29:12 And the book is delivered to him that is not learned, saying, Read this, I pray thee: and he saith, I am not learned.

Is there any way to atone for the transgression? And does it matter if the person knew about the law when it was broken (even if it wasn't deliberately broken)?

I'm just curious. Thanks in advance!
