It is closer to blast. You might be interested to know that fairly recently researchers found out that the human brain can recognise short words (less than 6 characters) most of the time without any vowels and long words with no vowels or one vowel.

"Blst" is incredibly close to Blast, considering it's only a 1-letter difference.

What does it matter anyway?
I say it's closer to blessed ,since it's Xmas and all.
It really depends on what ground you want to analyze the proximity.

It is closer to "blast" but it is equally close to "blest".
