YES, YOU ARE DOING THE RIGHT THING!
My brother was married to a bipolar woman. He separated and filed for divorce. She would not stay on her meds. When she was not ill she was a very nice woman, smart, everything. When she went off her meds she was a danger to be around. She committed suicide while separated from my brother. This messed his head and his kids (2) up pretty bad.
I saw some of the writings she left behind. I think she was thinking at one point of taking her daughter with her in her suicide. Luckily that did not happen.
Yes, by the sounds of it you are doing the right thing.

As for the Xmas card, she might not be in any condition to send a card. If she is ill she might not even know who you, your kids or even she is. It is rough, but I think that if my brother had not separated from his wife things might have been even worse than her suicide alone.

Nobody on here should be saying anything until they have seen stuff like this, it is incredible until you hasve seen the effects of people with manic/depressive disorder who are off of their medication. you really don't need to hear from ignorant little guilt trippers like the jerk above me.

Yes I would file for divorce....it will be granted without a problem. But why didn't you have her commited or just sent her back to Korea without a return ticket. Why, how did you put up with it so long?
