The Da Vinci Code has set forth a theory about Mary Magdalene and the Holy Grail. One of the book’s characters says, “Yes, but it is not I who claim she is the Grail. Christ Himself made that claim." The book claims that the grail is Mary Magdalene, the symbol for womanhood.
In reality, there is no proof that Jesus Christ claimed that Mary Magdalene was the Holy Grail. In fact, the Bible does not even mention the words “grail” or “holy grail.”
The concept of the Holy Grail comes from a mythical legend. Most scholars believe the legend originated in a Celtic myth of a horn of plenty -- the source of all things good. According to the legend, the horn was the source of divine favor since it was supposedly the cup that Jesus used at the Last Supper (or a cup that caught Jesus blood as it dripped from the cross).
There is no evidence to substantiate The Da Vinci Code’s claim that Mary was the Holy Grail.

No. The tradition of a "holy grail" arose out of the idea that there must have been a cup used by Jesus as he shared in the last supper with his disciples. People in the Middle Ages were especially interested in finding relics and things from Biblical times.

Luke 22:20 says, " Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you." And many think this statement means the actual cup used has some special meaning. However, the point was that the supper he was instituting (based on much older Jewish Passover rituals and meanings...) was a remembrance of his sacrifice that would institute a new covenant between God and man.
Relics are so precious to so many because in the Bible we read that things touched by the Apostles and Christ had the power themselves to heal (see Acts 19:12, Mark 5:30, etc.). Therefore, people searched for things that may have been touched by them in order to get the same power. But the power was never in the object itself, but rather from the Holy Spirit that gave these objects their power. The Spirit has just as much influence to leave that object at will as it entered it at will, and so no object would eternally be 'sacred' simply because at one time it touched a holy person.
There is no mention in Scripture of such things as 'holy relics' because faith should never be placed in any object, but only in the person of Christ because of His life/death/resurrection that gives us hope of eternal life. Drinking from a cup- whether one that Jesus blessed at the Last Supper, or one that caught his blood as it dripped from the cross (which is not mentioned in scripture)- could never offer eternal life.

over the final Supper, Jesus took a chalice (grail) and blessed the wine interior it. human beings have been searching for this actual Chalice for years. it somewhat is pronounced in the bible, yet basically in a passing way. It basically grew to become important for the time of the middle an prolonged time whilst religious relics grew to become important.

The only place I can think of is at the last supper, but the Bible just calls it a "cup".
No cup or grail can save you from your sins, only faith in Christ.
