They're movie stars! They CAN be role models...some are but I don't think they became movie stars to take on responsibilities of being role models. They do it for the fame and fortune and the parties and the extra hook-ups that they secretly have amongst one another - it's a secret world us unwashed masses are not privy to. Therefore, no, I don't think they are realistic role models for normal boys and girls.

Not unless they use their notoriety very carefully. One should remember that just because they are in the public eye, they are no more important than anyone else and are people just like everyone else-some good role models and some not and some who can't remember to put on their underwear.

No, because we don't know them. The image they project isn't the whole person - only the surface, and it's a face they want us to see, not who they really are underneath. And North American society holds actors above morality - they do not have to suffer rejection when they commit adultery or kill someone. I'm sure many actors are good people, but show biz is a spirit crushing occupation - only the tough survive.

Some are, some aren't. But why make people role models because they happen to be famous?

No most of them don't know where one movie starts or when another one is finished. The only thing we need them for is to be in the movies.
