When talking about a road that one can use, it's open to drive on, etc, I think one should say A PASSABLE ROAD and not " a practicable road" . PRACTICABLE means "feasible" and it's not correct in this sense. Am I right?

Why is it that evolution should be accepted in society, but not creation? It seems Athiests are just as convinced about evolution as Thiests are about creation. So why is it that thiest's have to learn to tolerate an athiest's view but athiest's cannot tolerate a thiest's view. In general. I realize this is a generalization. Please excuse the generalization. Thank you in advance for your polite answers. Merry Christmas.

I have my speakers up all the way, and theres this guy talking on it!
i heared this voice on the speakers and i held it up to my ear and he said "I have a little Radio too" i freaked and said hello? (i have no idea why i did that) and it siad hello back to me! :O then i got freaked out big time.

so i siad it agian, thinking "no way i just imagened it" and he siad "Wazzzzup" :) which was kinda funny, but the thought that a little man in my computer is speaking to me, still freaks me out.

whats going on? how does he know what i am saying? i dont have anything more then speakers (which are for sound to come "out" of)

I work in an office where a lot of people smoke and take frequent smoke breaks, but I don't smoke and I feel guilty if I'm not working. Do you think non-smokers should take short frequent breaks like smokers do? Will the smokers think we are slacking if we aren't at our desks working?

I prompt this question because i have noted that christians believe in jesus as their saviour and worship no other gods or idos (excluding money)

A christian wont go around preaching the word of a mohammed and is therefore an "atheist" in regard to islam...
So, it is true to say that all christians are in fact atheists of all the other religions?

No "holy" book quotes if you please, thank you.
10 Points to the most enlightening answer :-)

My husband & I pushed our wedding back a year; his SIL decides on a whim that she no longer wants to be in the wedding, but she took on the responsibility of the dress & the contract. Now demands we refund her cuz she is choosing to back out, blaming it on the loss of their baby 2 years ago & their trouble getting pg now....hubby's bro is supposed to be Best Man and he didn't back out (we kicked him out now)- she is a HUGE drama queen and has never liked me or my hubby - nothing is ever good enuf for her. Are we obligated to refund her $100 deposit?

I got a gift card to a spa but I really do not want to go. Is it possible to return it to the spa and have the amount credited back to my friend's credit card? I would rather have them have the money back, rather than stay on this gift card that I won't use.

Ok, get this. In answer to some other question, a respondent stated that Jesus is what's standing between us and God attacking us visciously. He's the only thing standing between us and god, who would otherwise be running amok (ha ha).

I'm not a biblical or religious scholar, so I must rely on the Answers community - is this an accepted belief in any religion?

If interested, this is the answer I refer to: "Jesus Christ is the only one keeping God from spilling his wrath upon this world. That's why one must accept Jesus Christ as their savior. If they do not,you have to stand before God in judgment, and Jesus cannot intervene on your behalf."

I was just wondering how charam (חרם) might be translated and enacted by American Christians? Are you happy with retracting all religious freedoms or do you prefer the usage of most modern translators and actually plan on extermination of all those of other religions?
