Neo-Nazism is a functional belief system. It organizes people who feel dis-enfranchised and powerless and lets them fantasize that they can become powerful and enfranchise themselves to make the world a better place for them to live in.

Is this acceptable to you? Every belief system has the exact same purpose.

It is unfortunate that Neo-Nazism is repeating the same tired, hateful, fascist dreams of the old Nazis.

It is regretable that they seek to empower themselves by dis-enfranchising other people.

It is frightening that they may advocate violence and mass murder to achieve their ends.

It is terrifying to think that they may take any action that causes harm to another human being.

But how can we not accept it?

We cannot abolish ideas, that is entirely beyond our power.

We cannot legislate them into a more powerless state than they already believe themselves to be in because that would be prejudicial and hateful and we would then be as bad as they appear to us to be.

All we can do is accept it.

Embrace it with love and hope for the best.

We might be able to offer our youths more opportunity for jobs and education. Nazism feeds on ignorance and poverty. We might be able to raise the self esteem and confidence of our youths, Nazism feeds on fear and anxiety. We might be able to value all people of all races, creeds and cultures, Nazism thrives in an environment of hate.

There is much we can do to minimilze the attractiveness of Nazism as a belief system, but we cannot fight Nazism directly because that reinforces the sense of being prosecuted that helps bond such frightened people to one another and further strengthen their common identity and cause.

We must love the individuals who embrace Nazism even if we deplore their beliefs and ideals. We must accept them and cherish them and nurture them. Well loved, well cherished, well nurtured people wll love, cherish and nurture in response, then the fear, anger and hate will go away.

Cheers!

If I remember correctly Nazism is based on the belief that the strong will always win over the weak? I'm not sure if this idea originated from Darwin.
I read a good book once called 'The Iron Heel' I was just trying to fish it out, but no luck, I think the author was Jack London?
I cant quite work out where your 'Neo' Nazism comes into it, what could be 'Neo' about it?
Hitler obviously thought it was an excellent idea but we all know what happened there dont we?
Flitting forward in time we also know what happened in Vietnam when some of the strongest nations failed to take over from very weak people.
So just as a personal opinion (and my opinion is worth no more or less than yours) I dont believe it is at all acceptable.
Possible maybe, but acceptable ??? a big NO from me on that!

Acceptable to who, Neo-nazi's? Or course its acceptable to them but may not be to the other 98% of society. However Neo-Nazism does have followers and believers so in a country founded upon free ideology and speech how can the U.S. try to quell such a belief system.

I don't think personally or population wise that most of us consider it acceptable. Neo Nazism and other forms of White Supremacy are a minority, however that loud, racist minority makes the rest of us white people look bad. And I say for America (in particularly) they are a shunned group.

Nazism wasn't acceptable.
Neo-Nazism is not acceptable.
They are one in the same and equally repugnant.

It's a symptom, not a system.
