One of the names in the Old Testament that God uses is El Qanna. This means My Name Is Jealous.

If being jealous is bad, how can one of the names of God be Jealous?

This is not a trick question and has a real answer that is not a contradiction. This is a "contradiction?" that I had to shelf in my mind because I did not understand how this could be. I had to shelve this lack of understanding because I believe the bible to be completely true, even though I may not have complete understanding of everything the bible says or means because of the word structure. I believe this because the bible says that it is authored by God and written by men.

Man makes mistakes, but God does not and God's word is always true. Man tries to keep his word, God does keep His word.

yes i am from Johannesburg South Africa & eid may be on the 31st of December. My thing is my friend owns a club (The Palms in village Walk) & i really wanna go & also another guy friend is Dj'ing at a club. I really would like to go.

But i stuck in a predicament. I know its a big day & its a holy day to be spent with family and friends. But would it be wrong to go for club with my friends? Or drive after dinner at about 9:30 to a rave/huge party that night?

I've been overweight and underweight, and I noticed people were the rudest to me when I was underweight. People I didn't even know told me I was too bony, I looked gross, I was not attractive that thin, etc. I even had a waiter bring me a dessert menu and tell me to order everything on it! When I was overweight, no one was ever rude to me like that. You wouldn't dare go up to a complete stranger and tell her to lose weight beause she looked gross and unattractive. Has anyone else noticed this? Thoughts?
