I think It is okay to exchange gifts with gift receipts attached so that the recipent can change them if need be. Giving is always a good thing but with Christmas cards especially when you receive them from people who hardly ever talk to you e.g work colleagues, what is the point?

Does anyone know of any bishops or other clergymen involved in any drunken incidents, or just general alcoholism? This can be recently (eg. Bishop of Southwark, Gene Robinson re: rehab etc), historic or comedic (eg Bishop of Bath and Wells)

Any answers at all would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks.

I got in a conversation a few days ago with someone from here commeding me on "defending atheism" (which I don't really try to do, but OK) but then went on to ask if I really believed all that "pagan nonsense" I had professed elsewhere. I was tired and got defensive, which I later felt bad about...and then I didn't feel so bad. Whoever it was didn't treat me any differently than someone trying to convert me to their religion--and this person professed to be an atheist. The excuse of "concern for your soul" didn't work here--this person was obviously bothered and possibly offended by my beliefs, for no apparent reason I could see...I don't think my beliefs hurt anyone; I have no lobbyists in Washington petitioning for law changes because of my beliefs. I don't press them on anyone. For the life of me, I can't get why this bothered this person so much.

Aside from someone pressing their beliefs on you (in any fashion, be it legally, personally, or even violently) or committing crimes in the name of religion...why would it bother you if someone held different beliefs than you?

As a non-Muslim my temper was explosive and moody. As a Muslim, I am still moody, but my temper has become quite calmed.... God is the key for me, because my raw nature is explosve, but Islam has calmed this side of me. I think we re all capable of evil, but controlling onself is always a good option.... instead of fighting... what do you think? Are you evil?

Why do we lie and tell our kids that Santa brings them presents?? Doesn't that teach our kids that we as parents are liars and that it is okay to lie??

I am a black woman who´s extremely attracted to white guys. I am tired of white guys saying that black women aren´t interested in them when there are plenty who are.

I will admit, there are a few black women who SAY they wouldn´t date a white guy but I think they´re just putting up at act for whoever wants to know.

It is not shameful to consider someone of another race as a love interest and we need to stop treating it as if it were. I believe we should embrace our options and stop generalizing.

Most of my guy friends are white....they´ve all said that they thought about asking me out but was scared that i wasn´t interested.

What is there to be scared of?¡? We´re like any other woman.

Tell me what it is we have to do to show that we are interested? I mean i don´t want to put myself out there, but what kind of hints are you guys looking for?

I'd like to give each family member an ornament for their Christmas trees - an ornament featuring a picture of the recipient with my precious precious father, from a Christmas past.

This is our first Christmas without him.

I have the photos gathered, digitally and otherwise, but have no ideas. I am a crafting neophyte, but I have quick access to a Michaels and am also willing to consider ornaments made by others using my photos, but I don't know what those would be either, or how to find them.
Thanks for you help and Merry Christmas.

the known verse in Leviticus

Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman.

So according to that the Bible forbids male anal sex.

It dose not forbid two men having sexual fealings for one another.
It dose not forbid for them to have a relationship

the only thing it says is that the two should not have anal sex.

so where dose the Bible say that being gay is wrong?

My girlfriend has a John Deer III xmas decoration that seems to sing rude xmas songs. At the end of "up on the roof top" it sounds like he sings "up on the roof top quick quick quick, down through the chimney with a big pink d**k". Surely this can't be right?

Does anyone else find this statement insulting, strongly anti British and Racist!

99% of people I know are very hard working, the British work some of the longest hours in the whole of Europe.

Yet people keep saying this, many of them are British themselves.

I hear newscaster and others using the term "mentally challenged" or "mentally handicaped" in place of mentally retarded.
I have a mental illness, but my IQ is above average.
Wouldn't I be correct saying I am M.C. M.H. or M.I. leading to confusion?
I guess my point is, Isn't all this P.C. stuff getting a little overbearing?
