I'm confused, my science teacher or my friend? , My science teacher said that we evolve from some sort of a Ape , and the adaptation , survival , facing natures severity learning skills and love to the children has bring us to this stage. My friend told me that we are made from clay balls, and a another friend told me that we are from Adam and eve. I feel like its better to study the easy way. So I can just simply write the bible content to my science exam. The god is poerfull and he made the world in 6days . end of story!!!

Deu 20:10 Before you attack a town that is far from your land, offer peace to the people who live there. If they surrender and open their town gates, they will become your slaves. But if they reject your offer of peace and try to fight, surround their town and attack. Then, after the LORD helps you capture it, kill all the men. Take the women and children as slaves and keep the livestock and everything else of value.

Do i have to enslave and pillage like the bible says i do?

Has anyone ever done something to make thier little ones Christmas extra special? We did, when my boys were little I would never put thier presents out before they went to bed. After they went to bed I would bring out all the wrapped presents, turn out the lights but leave the tree lit and sprinkled pearl glitter all over everywhere. My boys still talk about those Christmases, they remember the excitement and the sparkle and magic. I kinda miss it now. How about you? Have you done anything like that for yours?

I drempt that I entered a world that was dark and full of fire which engolfed me up; only it was not horrible in any way what's so ever.
I stood there completily black and I was huge with bat wings and craw like fingers; I had a gargoyle like face a bit like Goliath.
I was cover in this incredibily tight suit made of plastic that seemed to be alive as it got tighter and tighter, better and better.

Pleasure went through me as this God like being hirled me to the ground and as it this sensation intensified, I could see what look like the flames of hell roar way above me and my wings spread out.

I saw people whom were wicked running from me and I was told that they belonged to me.
I could feel the heat of the fire searing pleasure through me and it got to a rediculus level.

I woke up the next day all shaky, lying on the bathroom floor in my own spit.

What an Earth took place?

Do you think that it is fair to ask a question and get an answer that you don't like and ask it in a different title? I think that my answer was a good answer and non-attacking as well. If the answer was that bad don't you think that they should have taken the 2 point dip and deleted it? Just curious.

I am a Catholic and I dearly love the Church, but I disagree with some things, including the spending of Church moneys to settle sex abuse cases out of court. I strongly believe that the abusers should get as much punishment as anyone else would if not more, and really don't like the idea of money I put in the collection plate for the essentials of my parish and charity going to help some child molestor. How can I be sure that my parish and diocese are not using alms to screw over the "justice" system?

Have we ever considered what the frog thinks of the princess? Or what our reaction would be if that famous kiss resulted in the princess turning into a female frog? And besides, which one of these two 'living beings' do we believe to be the happiest? And which one the unluckiest?

Let me begin by saying that if you're wondering or just sitting there thinking "Ooh, gross!", ladies love it. So no replies about personal opinions, please - I've already formed my own. I have a 10-gage now and want to go up to an 8. My tattoo guy says I'll start to feel a "wobble" but what's that supposed to mean? Should I be trying to stretch it out? And how? I had it pierced in early May and consider it healed, if frequent sex with no pain is any indication. And, oh yeah, I'd prefer not to have a needle involved this time. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Seriously i am wondering. It actually appears as if the more a scientist discovers the greater chance that the scientist will become religious. And please, do not say darwin and all his stuff is the science that proves him to be false, but rather do you know anything about Quantum Mechanics and physics?

I'm trying to imagine that I had no mass and only a thought but no knowledge to react to my environment. Would I have to find similar entities or remain in confort until they found me.

Also, if I did not have any previous knowledge, how could I relate to the world around me.

Unless I suppose that my existence would be that of absolute discovery and growth.

The symbolic ring would be that first environment of potential unknowns mixed with our minimal knowns.

This question might not be for everyone, and if I sound crazy, I don't care.

Just something on my mind lately.

worry about my spiritual well being? I struggle between doing what I desire and doing what I've been taught is right and I become overly concerned with the implications of my struggle. What is important and why? What do you do when you act one way, but secretly beleive something else? Are you saving face or attempting to do what's right? Are you supposed to deny your self-indulgences or accept them as normal and healthy expressions of yourself? What do you all think?

I have looked at only a few questions, yet they all had a common theme. Prove He exists. You say He is there, so the Burden Of Proof is on you. Triumphant response.

I see it a little different. I have to know. Do you believe something is fact? Is it proven, can you show it?

Science has come a great way, over a relatively small span of time. Observation, then replication and consistency give us fact through discovery. An exciting event. Great men are given great honors.
Other observations, are a little bit out of focus. No clear evidence. Reproduction is not possible. Tools to help the research are created, then used in proving an observation, being reliable in showing fact. This creates a huge grey area, where it is really nothing beyond theory, but it is presented as fact. Your belief and conviction are proof enough to me of this.
But, tell me. Who made the rules of proving? What makes the tools absolutely zero'd in and precise? What evidence is so overwhelming?

Now and days its still here. But more than with Iraq, Iran, Muslim Looking people. Why are people not accepting them. It kills me to see this hatred every day! Especially with 'black' people. Others stereotype differences so much (thinking "oh, they'll shoot you if you look at them.")

Religion can be harmless if somewhat passive and your life (and others) isn't based on the writings of some obscure book written thousands of years ago with so many innacuracies it's hard to take seriously, but when it starts limiting the intellectual growth and potential of a whole culture, isn't that pretty dangerous?
Most of Europe can't even think of arguing something like teaching our kids Evolution but in America, it's a whole national debate!!
The least religious countries ( Norway, Canada, Finland...) have the lowest crime rates, so what's that about religion and moral values?

Has anyone else read Genesis 6 and Genesis 19 and noticed the mention of these interesting beings?

About the giants (also known as the Nephilim) of Gen 6.

Sub-questions: Were they supposed to be the wicked offspring - the result of the union between the 'daughters or men' and the 'sons of God' (also known as the 'sons of the nobles')?

If so, doesn't it mean that the 'sons of God' had unique genes? Perhaps they were giants themselves, or, as their titles suggest - perhaps they were like gods?

Now, about the angels...Gen 19 explicitly tells us of a pair of angels who interacted physically with the man named Lot. They obviously took on physical, human form. They ate bread. A gang of rowdy gay men (outside Lot's house) also saw them.

Has anybody else noticed these 'physical angels'?

Note: I'm not here for a scientific argument. All who have an interest in the Bible as well as the paranormal are welcome. Sources - KJV and Judaica Press Complete Tanach.
