There is a theory that says that before God created the earth that we know of today, that was another earth long ago that was destroyed. It was inhabited by angels, demons and dinosaurs. This is called the "gap" theory. Yes, it is ridiculous. The proof cited is that betweer Genesis 1:1 and 1:2 there is a gap of time. You can read it for yourself-I can not see it.

1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Gen 1:1 (KJV)

(here is the gap-can you see it?)

2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen 1:2 (KJV)

There is nothing there.

Now back to the original question about 'how to reconcile the dinosaurs being millions of years old and the Bible saying the earth is only 6000 years old- We have no proof of anything on this earth being over about 5000 years old. The geologic column and the age of the dinosaurs is all speculation. There is no evidence for those old ages-none. You ask any scientist how he/she "knows" that a dino bone is millions of years old. Then ask them to explain. They can not. They do not know.

I think that is a theory that MAIN WORRY subscribes to. Main line christians do not accept that and there is enough proof for the 6 day creation 7 to 10 thousand years ago that it is not necessary to make another. But as was stated many times, none of us were there and we are all interpreting things to different theorys..
Evolution is a theory and based heavily on a system of dating that is completely in question.
Creation, (outside of accepting the Bible as fact) would be another theory. It all comes down to what theory you subscribe to. If you do not want to believe in a creator, then you have no other choice but evolution.

in my opinion fireball is very uneducated of the actual bible. instead im sure she goes to church and the pastor there tells her these things, cause u cant come to her conclusions by reading the bible.

however she does make some valid points that i give her credit for. *shrug* i think she just follows what shes told instead of reads.

um other then that u cant prove her statement even close to being right. if only the "remaking" of the planet was documented, then the "making" of the planet was not documented, thus u cant even say it happened....
