Kev, You strike me as a young man. You are guilty of the same problem you are asking about. You made a very general statement in your question that groups all caucasions in to one bucket, thus creating a generalization about a group of people based on your observations. I for one, am a caucasion and I do not feel hatred towards any race.
Racism is changed one person at a time.
People tend to generalize just like you did in your question. I'm sure that not every white person is afraid of a black person. Perhaps you live in a place that is not that diverse.
You might as well ask why homeless people don't just get jobs.
My point is this, racism is here and will be very slow to go away, as unfortunate as that may seem. If we all do our part and become more accepting of cultural differences, we would all live in a better place.
Peace.

I am a Palestinain Muslim I just caem to AMerica. I am pretty fair and i have gold blond hair, so I do not look like the stereotypical arab girl. But when people find out where I am from it is soo diffirent. I came to America because I thought people wouldn't judge you because of where you are from, unlike in Jordan where Palestinians are not treated fairly. Now i am killing myself to go back home. Honestly, I am really good friends with alot of black people, they are alot of fun and are really funny, so racism towards them pisses me off.

I do not understand this question very well. It is a little confusing to me. IF the Caucasians are so racist and prejudiced against foreigners, why are the foreigners flocking to this racist and prejudiced country in millions.? They should prefer to stay in their own country where there is no racism .Yes, indeed we are very cautious, but not afraid, of terrorists. That is one mean bunch. They ought to get them all rounded up and put in a Mosque lock the Mosque up and throw away the keys. -:) Then we could wish them Merry Christmas.

Not all caucasians are racists. Where are you from that you have no fear of anyone? In case you have been sleeping, Muslims, Iranians and Iraqis haven't exactly gone out of their way to make us feel safe and sound. There is such a thing as reverse discrimination, just as there is such as thing as broad generalizations. I have many black friends. I don't know anyone paranoid enough to think they will be shot just for looking at them. You sound like you spend a lot of time on fantasy island.
Get a life.

saying that whites are racist and sterotypical is very racist of you, judging a race as a whole is racism. It pisses me off when people are like "well your white, you've had more oppertunitys then me becasue im black" no you stupid bit*h i haven't i work hard for what I have. And on the whole i've found that ethnic groups for lack of a better word are more racist then white people. Where do you live where you "see this hatred every day!"
Where i live i don't see hate crimes

Dude your question totally shows your hyprocrisy by "stereotyping" those of the caucasian race. Everybody stereotypes its human nature, I do, but my stereotypes don't make me afraid of foreigners. I fear no man, no matter what color he is.

well...its not just caucasians...I get the reverse prejudism for being white...although I dont judge others. A lot of people arent susceptible to change or dont like the things or people in this case that are different. But that is their loss...and their problem if you dont let it affect you.
