Deu 20:10 Before you attack a town that is far from your land, offer peace to the people who live there. If they surrender and open their town gates, they will become your slaves. But if they reject your offer of peace and try to fight, surround their town and attack. Then, after the LORD helps you capture it, kill all the men. Take the women and children as slaves and keep the livestock and everything else of value.

Do i have to enslave and pillage like the bible says i do?

Just ignore the parts you don't like. The Christians do it all the time, so it must be OK.

well, i think it's an all or nothing. God's word should never be abrogated with time. If it was really the truth, it would be the whole truth and nothing but the truth, right? Maybe it's not the religion for you? In Islam, there is a verse similar to the above one that people used to always say how "violent" we are; how hypocritical, they have the exact same thing. Anyway, I don't think that verse would ever be applicable in everyday lfe because it seems to be describing a war. The only difference in Islam is that you CAN'T make the first attack. If they attack you you are allowed to attack back with certain guidelines. The only time it is acceptable to have a war is if your religious freedom, land or rights are being impeded upon. It's not like I'm trying to convert you or anything (only God is the ultimate decider of that) I'm just trying to shed some light on these touchy subjects. Good luck and God bless.

I only love this question and the very humorous answer the JW's provide which make no connection with the question in answering it. because of the fact the call Jehovah by no skill became in ANY new testomony writings nor became it even used as a acceptance for God because it became a synthetic invention of the call. i ask your self why they suspect one in each of those concern. I propose in the Hebrew the call became Jehovah so in the Greek the call could be Jehovah? The call Jesus is in Greek yet his call in Hebrew could have been Yashua or maybe Joshua. Jesus by no skill used the call Jehovah and constantly reported as his Father the two the daddy or God the daddy, why? He observed the regulation. He became no longer a severe priest yet! while speaking with those witness bearing directly to the NWT and their policies, they only carry forth those policies for the income of others, you do no longer assume them to follow them do you? because of the fact the do no longer. They make up those policies after which break them at will, just to maintain their doctrines intact. The NWT is the main bias and thoroughly improper translation and shouldn't ever be seen a Bible of authentic Christians. that's a e book in sheep's clothing yet interior its a wolf. returned JW's there became by no skill a sparkling testamnet writing chanced on that has the call Jehovah in it. So why no longer go away nicely adequate on my own rather of attempting and doing the variations in the Bible? you have substitute the meanings of various verses because of the fact it fits collectively with your doctrine. Why? go away the Bible on my own, that's the understand God, it does not desire your variations or compelled variations!

You either follow the Bible or dont there is no need to be on the fence the Bible describes it as being lukewarm and this is not good.

First of all that was the old testament, there was laws of ordiance God gave Moses, When Jesus was sacrficed on the cross for are sins he nailed the law of ordiance to the cross but not the Ten Commanments Jesus fullfill that, Jesus is the Sabath, if we are in Him we have rest true rest He is God manifested in the flesh if we believe in Him we believe in the Father also, There is two great command to love the Lord God with all your Heart and your neighber as your self. Love is the key , love fulfills the commanments of God , but we can't have that unless Jesus Christ lives within your heart. Love does not hate, The word does say to hate sin, not people ,we are to love on them to bring them to Christ.

You could choose and follow what ever you want. Just as long as you don't hurt anyone or anything. You could even choose to not follow the bible either. it's all your choice. the bible was written as kinda like a guideline to live your life.

People have been doing this for years. Why else do you think there is such rampant homophobia, but Christians can eat pork?

There is a long tradition of editing and redacting the Bible.

However, I hope that you don't behave like that because you have a conscious.

I think as long as it's LEGAL, you can do whatever you want, religiously speaking. But if you're gonna enslave and pillage, can you wait until I'm on vacation?
