We took two men of equal age, health and stature, and had them fast for seventy two hours. One of these men was given the Christian communion which consisted of one wafer and on thimble full of grape juice. The other man was given the FSM communion which consisted of a large plate of spaghetti and meatballs and a glass of beer. The first man was left hungry while the second said he felt "full", which we interpreted to mean full of the spirit of the FSM. We tried it again offerint equal caloric portions of the same communions. The first man got very sick after eating 1200 communion wafers, while once again, the second man said he was "full". In light of such stagering scientific evidence how can you deny the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

dress up in wedding gowns and veils during their first communion? I would never let my daughter do this. It just looks creepy to me. I mean, it looks as though they are *literally* marrying christ. Isn't 2nd grade a little young?

PS. - Don't bash me, I used to be catholic.

My wife and I have both know she is bisexual for the past 10 years. She has never acted on the desire for other female companionship to this point. We have 3 kids and are in our middle 30s now. To keep this short lets just say that the desire to explore this side of herself is becoming more of a priority for her. Point of clarity here: I am not talking about a three way or watching her. My question is do you think it is something she should explore or would that most likely lead to disaster

Ok...So I've been out of school for going on 3 years, but since I graduated I've kept in touch with my eleventh grade english teacher who I see as basically my mentor. This teacher helped me through a very tough time in my life. We have kept in touch through email up until July. Ever since then, I have written to him and not recieved any response. I assume that maybe the school changed email addresses and I'm not worried b/c I know he wouldn't ignore me all of a sudden. But anyways, I haven't visited him in 2 years, but I'm thinking about going there before Christmas, and possibly getting him a card and gift. But I'm a really shy person, and I'm worried that it's going to look like I have some sort of "thing" for him. Maybe I feel that way because my friends always picked on me about him, saying I loved him, when really I just looked up to him as a mentor. With all that said, what do you guys think? Would it be ok to get him a gift? Or not. If so, what would be appropriate?

I heard about prophet Muhammed marrying a 9 year old child girl and I thought it might be just a historical dilemma. But I found a verse in the Quran that gave me the impression that Islam really allows men to marry girls who have not attained puberty yet. The verse [4] from Al Talak [65] states that:

"and for those of your wives who stopped having their monthly period, they can not get married for three months after you divorce them. And for those who HAS NOT ATTINED PUBERTY YET it is the same".

Here is the verse, along with its original Arabic interpretation:

Unfortunately I tried to look for Yusuf Ali's translation for that verse and I found it not accurate and therefore you should not refer to it when answering my question, which is:

Is it true that Islam allow men to marry girls who have not attained puberty yet?

This is Abdullah Majidmemom from Birmingham Muslim Council. Your Western way of living contains serious flaws: drinking, gambling, disrespect for elders, break-ups in families and a meaningless life full of pornography, self-hatred and waywardnes. Embrace Islam today, and discover joy and meaning in your life. Islam is the only successful path to eternal bliss for the following reasons:

Simply by saying with conviction, “Ash-hadu-Allah-ilaha ill Allahu, Wa-Ash-hadu-Anna-Muhammadur rasoolu-llah”, one converts to Islam and becomes a Muslim. This saying means “I bear witness there is no true god but Allah, and I bear witness Mohammad (Sal-Allaho-Alay-hay-Wasal-lam) is the Messenger (Prophet) of Allah”. The first part “There is no god but Allah”, means that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, and that Allah has neither partner nor son. To be a Muslim, one should also:

OK, so reading the numerous comments on this website, nearly all of you seem to think that Princess Diana was murdered, despite (a) loads of witnesses, (b) hard evidence, and (c) millions of pounds spent on two separate police enquiries (both of which independantly came to the same conclusion - it was an alcohol-induced accident).

What's the point? Should they have abandoned the enquiries and used the money to catch proper criminals?

PS in case any conspiracy theorist suggests otherwise, the Twin Towers WERE destroyed by terrorists, and the Americans DID land on the Moon.

For example, if you look in your mail or on tv or in your heart there are so many worthy causes to devote your/time money. It all seems overwhelming and I'm here...and not there so how can I help. So I sit and wait and have my head spin trying to figure out which one is best...and do nothing.

If everyone decided today to just pick small one thing and do it well, wouldn't that help on a personal level and global?

Say you put Africa on a grid. This 100 x 100 miles belongs to France. This same size section belongs to Canada. Wouldn't the competitive side of human nature take over and people would say, wow, AIDS and hunger have really dropped in the France section...and light a fire to do better?

Is there a name of this theory?

... that men, in general, love women?

I've heard "look at the Taj Mahal" a million times. Pardon me, but I'd like a little more evidence than that. Considering the amount of time humans have been around, it's an unbelievably lame answer.

I already know I can answer my question myself. No-one can show me any evidence, quite simply because there isn't any whatsoever.

On this one occasion, I would love to be proven wrong. Anyone?

Nah, didn't think so.
