It can be downloaded off the net.It talks of Jesus and Thomas afetr the crucifixion.Thomas is sent to India to do his ministry there against his will.So mush so that Jesus has to sell him.
When the early european explorers first hit India, they found an independent sect in Southern India who called themselves Thomas Christians. So why is the gospel of Thomas considered false?.I have been to India and the Thomas Christians are still there and can trace their faith back to Thomas.

Celebration, comparable to the 'seasonal' celebrations of Kwanza, Christmas, or Hannukah?

Are there rituals or customs associated with same?

I've seen believers (mainly Christians believers) say things that give me the feeling they don't know what is fiction and what is reality. Take for example the "DaVinci Code," this is a work of fiction but i've seen so many Christians go absolutely ape over it. Same thing with Harry potter... They believe that if kids read these fictional stories they will somehow be empowered to cast spells and fly on brooms.

The catalyst for this question was an answer to another question* that asked if anyone had actually seen god. The answer made reference to the movie "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and said that if you saw god your face would melt off.

*This may have been a joke answer but in it's context it seemed serious, it's really hard to tell sometimes on Y!A.

My son's best friend has a child who was abused by a non-family member, and is in a hospital on the other side of the state, suffering from a brain bleed (shaken baby syndrome).

The child is not yet 2 years old, this a most difficult time for his family, and I can only imagine what this poor boy is going through.

Those of you who pray, will you do so for his family, and for him?

Those of you who don't, will you keep him in your thoughts?

And please, kind answers only. We are talking about a child.

His name is Noah. Thank you.

Most of the people they have in their group are ex-Christians.

Does it matter to you that they are taking Christians away from the Truth?

And if you say you would never, for example say: "In God I do not Trust", on the strengths of your personal beliefs and convictions, would you think it just for an Atheist or Agnostic to have to compromise their personal convictions by being forced to avow God, something they don't believe in, when reciting our nation's Pledge of Allegiance. Which is a pledge to a nation. And not a prayer. Or being sworn in at a court and having to swear on the Bible. Is there any difference?

Or do believers have the right to force their religion(s) upon others? What do you think of governmental interference in private, personal, church, religious, matters on church property as opposed to the opposite on government, public property?

Is removing religious symbolism from spaces anti-religious, or simply not pro-religious?

Matthew ,Mark, luke and john. But at the council of Nicea many such as the Gospel of Thomas and the gospel of Peter were discarded as rubbish .Apparently because they didnt fit the story. Now these were the disciples of Jesus. Why isnt their word considerd inspired by God as well?Who gets to decide what is or is not inspired by God?

Of course there are advantages for us English speakers, everywhere we go we can communicate with somebody. But it means that we never make the effort to learn about other cultures the way that people in other countries make the effort to learn about ours, and our societies become increasingly isolated and ego-centric. The awful spectacle of our governments is only the most glaring example of the bad effects this can have.

What would happen. It seems every race hates blacks. I see this all the time and everywhere. Even here on yahoo answers I read racism against blacks from every culture. Spanish, whites, Jews, Calcasions, Orientals seem to not trust the black culture. I was reading today someone saying black men don't take care of their children, when that's not true, they said most black household are heading by a woman. That's is a lie!!!! It's exactly the same in every race, black men are there for their families just as much if not more than white and all the rest.

Why do they say these things????

maybe if they actually read about before answering they'd wouldn't dismiss it with stupid answers... How come some christians say catholics are wrong and there belifs are wrong before they fully know what the belief is? maybe if they learned about it they wouldn't accuse catholics of false worship and superstition and things that go againts the bible.... my question was: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqfM3WcKXCWkaxxAamnEwNjsy6IX?qid=20061126083500AAMXOb4
