I've pondered this question for hours. Strange, isn't it? I'm only 19.

His dad did it to Moses, and they do say the apple never falls far from the tree.

But the catch is that he wouldn't stop you.

that whenever I have a problem no one is around. Everyone is wrapped up in their own problems. What can I do to get support from others? I always feel alone. How can I not feel so alone when I am in a crisis situation?

Muhammed massacred two Jewish tribes that refused to convert that lived near the Kabaa in Saudia Arabia. Should the Israeli government mount a military campaign to reclaim that site or force the Saudia Government to allow Jews safe access to that place. Muhammed forced a Jewish girl from one of those tribes to marry him and kept her in concubine status against her will. She had the courage not to give up her religion to her Arab captor.

my notion is that our tolerance to uncertainty is what divides us into the various camps.
1: believers cannot tolerate uncertainy but cannot face the reality of death and so escape into belief.
2: atheists can face death but cannot face uncertainty, so they retreat into stoicism.
3.agnostics are happy/resigned to leave the question open untill further evidence tips the balace one way or the other.
===
can atheists be further divided into A) those that think the whole show is meaningless...ie are fatalistic pessimists and
B) those who see themselves as being realistic and pragmatic.

my real question is....is there much different in the way that these two types of atheists live and experience their lives?
does anyone think there are any further varieties, beyond what i will now rather crudely call pessimistic atheists, and positive atheists.
just for the record...i think atheists are at least as ethical as religious people...and their ethics are purer for not seeking reward.

I noticed a few questions relating to "white people becoming a minority".

In a global sense, white people are ALREADY in the minority, well and truly, so I don't see the point in worrying about something that is already a fact.

This of course, is quite apart from the fact there is only one race anyway, homosapiens, however I'm speaking to those so concerned about race as they see it, therefore I am using their interpretation.

If we divided the world's population by 60 million there would be 100 humans, of whom:

57 are Asian
21 are Europeans
14 are Hispanics from the Western Hemisphere
8 are Africans
51 are females
70 are non-white
70 are non-Christian; 30 are Christian
6 individuals control 50% of the world's wealth--all Americans
70 are unable to read
50 suffer from malnutrition
1 is near death and 1 is about to be born
and only 1 has a college education

Here is the theory-
"God wanted to create the world so, BANG!!! He created it"
(i read something similar to that on a bumper sticker today)
How could an explosion have created the world and the universe? you'd think an explosion would deystroy, not create.
and even if there were an explosion, something had to have triggered it, right?
I think it was all God!
what do you think?

so, im asian and i asked my parents what they thought dating hispanics because im kind of attracted to this hispanic guy who is like white as bread haha ok im sorry if that offended anyone. but my parents arent racist at all, like they have noooo problem with me being friends with different races just like going out with them is different
and so they think that if we date then we'll eventually get married (cause prettty much everyone they know knew each other and dated each other in high school and are still together or married ) and they dont want me to lose my culture or whatever and i get their point and im sure if they meet him that they'll accept him but taht little "racist" thing is still gonna be there

so i guess if i go out with him ill feel like i didnt respect my parents wishes and i kno that most of u are gonna say well ur liking him for you not your parents but its still AHH! i hope you guys understand what im saying thanks for reading/answering =)

I know that Mormons can't drink alcohol but I know some who cook with it. When I ask them about it they say that the alcohol cooks out. I happen to know that when cooking with alcohol you can cook most of it out but never all of it. So I am not sure if it is alright to cook with or not. Any Mormons out there have any ideas? I would love some help.
