No. Atheists don't believe in God or any deity at all. Period.

Definition of Atheism from 2003 edition of Webster's dictionary...

Atheism: n, from the Greek a- without, theos- god. 1. the belief that there is no God.

Don't believe in God, and probably don't believe in religion or the dogma of such either, so no, your statement isn't true. We don't believe in God at all.

No -- that is not correct. An atheist believes that there is no such thing as a god. An agnostic believes that there is no means of determining whether such an entity as god exists or does not exist. Noted Catholic theologian Hans Kung, in a huge book entitled Does God Exist?, examined the question in excruciating detail, and concluded that the existence or non-existence of god could not be demonstrated on logic or evidence. By the definition, he is an agnostic, notwithstanding the fact that he is a Catholic priest! In any event, to believe in the existence of a god is provably useless, and since I have better things to do with my time, I don't.

No, people that believe in God but not religion are usually referred to as deists. By definition, however, deists are people that believe in a creator god that is uninvolved in the universe. One that created, then walked away.

I suppose the best term for those who believe in god and not in any religion, but are not by definition deists would be, "irreligious."

Atheists do not believe in god. Neither do most people who label themselves agnostic.

Atheists do not believe in god. Agnostics dont believe you can know or not if there is a god. I kind of look at agnostics like atheists with no guts! (just kidding, my agnostic friends)

I don't know why Mai got so many thumbs down. He/she is right. Atheist is a word that means "without god". Agnostics say maybe there is a god, but the form or meaning is unclear and not defined as it would be in religion.

That sounds more like an agnostic. An atheist doesn't believe in a god at all.

No. That is called Deism.

Deists came to be very influential in the making of the young America, and reforming Great Britain (the United Kingdom).
