Many manychanges have been made to the Bible over the centuries. Concepts have been added or removed, even entire books. This process continues, along with interpretations telling us what it "really" means as opposed to what it actually says. Are these editings, additions and deletions all divinely inspired?

some one asked me the other day if i was happy....though i have been asked that before, it got me thinking...
first off my answer to that question has always been,"who the hell is really happy anyways" i feel that happiness is a moment to moment feeling...not something that can be attained and held on to for a long period of time...i believe the most one can strive for is contentment....if your content than what more is there ?????
so now i ask all of you ...are you happy ? or am i just that screwed up ? ( i know the answer THAT question)

two questions:
1. Do you believe that universe is about 14 billion light years across? Why or why not?
2. If you do believe it's so big, do you truly honestly think that god made a universe 14 billion light years across so that humans could live on one tiny planet for about 10-15,000 years and then be raptured up for eternity?

I asked about winning the lottery, but here is a new one. Let's say you had mounting bills and in dire financial need--would you have to be paid a reward for getting a killer off the street? Not me, not even if I were starving to death. That is "blood" money and someone had to die for it. I would not feel good about myself, but that is my opinion. Everyone feels differently about different things. What would you do?

When one says one must have knowlege of all things in the universe to know there is no god, yet to know there is a god all one needs is belief and faith, isn't that close to saying god doesn't exist?

If god is somthing so elusive that infinite avenues must be exhausted before one can come to the conclusion that it doesn't exist, yet you can know for sure it exists by simply giving it credence, it seems to me that god is something that exists only in the mind of it's believers.

Your thoughts?

I am originally from England and in England and Europe on a whole interracial dating is not frown upon....in fact people do not care. Since moving here (USA), it seems that most people think it is inappropriate. To be more specific - a black/African-American dating a White/Caucasian is wrong!?! I interracially date and people scream nasty blurbs at me and my date. Why is okay for Asian and Latinos to date whites/Caucasians, but not black/African-Americans to do so? After all aren't we all human beings? Isn't life too short not to be happy?

Hearing this phrase recently when someone was referring to a friend (we laughed) I wondered whether there was actually anything behind the usage.

I was taken to this site and found this has been asked before, and the previous answer was just suggesting that people were a bit brazen by this phrase, obviously what it means today (not literal).

But I have seen elsewhere a red hat did actually signify a prostitute...can anyone else shed any more light on this?

"Red hat no drawers refers to prostitutes in London during the war,because prostitution was illegal they would wear a red hat,so punters would recognise them,i was told this by many returned soldiers after the war."

I love my family, but family gatherings stress me out. I found a good excuse not to attend the family gathering and stayed home and made a nice turkey dinner and spent the day with my house mate and 2 dogs and did some buds and relaxed. Slept like a baby all night. LOL!!!!!

saving life makes good moral sense but killing fellow human beings is against any religion or any God .God is a God of love not hate so when you kill you go against Gods love , if you have a grievents ,protest or get into politics or on the news peaceably killing just angers others and wants them to do the opposite thing
