I love my family, but family gatherings stress me out. I found a good excuse not to attend the family gathering and stayed home and made a nice turkey dinner and spent the day with my house mate and 2 dogs and did some buds and relaxed. Slept like a baby all night. LOL!!!!!

Yep, spent the day with my mother in law (she stayed long enough to eat, take the kids for a walk then she left) The rest of the day was with my husband and kids.

My family does Thanksgiving on the Saturday following the real day so that we can all make it, so my son and I went to my old college friend's house with her family.
We made food all day and the kids played soccer and watched movies. We ended up eating dinner without the turkey because it took 7 hours to cook and everybody was starving.
Then we did karaoke and ate the turkey 2 hours after we had the rest of dinner.
It was fun.

My sister in law hostessed her first Thanksgiving dinner, so we went there. It was nice, except there weren't many side dishes there that I liked. Which was unusual for me. They made some dishes that I'd never heard of, and they had sour cream in them, or cream cheese, which I don't like. But the gathering was nice, and we had a lot of fun.

Well, kind-of. Spent it with my future in-laws. Everything was very pleasant and tasty. Watched "The Wizard of Oz" and took a 2 hour nap after dinner, woke up and ate dessert and watched "Best of Dana Carvey" SNL...ahh so relaxing!

It is the only Holiday that I just hate. I have never had a good one. The last three I have been alone, yesterday I had hot pockets and worked.
