How do you know if God is looking out for you?

When things are overwhelming, too much to endure, I have a habit of looking up at the sky and say, "Is the Heaven against me? Did God give up on me by deciding not to intervene?"
How do you find/see/feel the signs that God is indeed looking out for me and trying to help me become successful, happy in the future?

What does it say of a woman's sexuality if most of her friends are gay males?

She calls herself a "gay hag" jokingly, and hangs out most of the time in the male gay community. She is 45 and never married.

Why are hard questions avoided?

For instance, if you say what was before Christ, immediately Christians answer God was always there without hesitation. The likeliness of a god existing is just as likely as us existing, so where is the disconnect? Again, I repeat, the statistical likelihood for a deity to exist to create us is the same as us to exist at all.

Should I leave Christianity over the stupidity and weakness of others?

I've been Christian all of my life. I stray for a while, but always do return. This time I'm debating leaving my lutheran faith for good. I attend bible study twice a week and church once a week. The people that I attend with are really starting to piss me off. They glorify things which they should not and are basically gutless worms when it comes to any kind of confrontation. My ex boyfriend was wiccan. I'm thinking about studying that a little.

Can I just say "thank you!"?

Thank you , Lord for my sweet, sweet, family & friends- for my beautiful angel daughter, for food & hot showers & pretty flowers- and the smell of fresh rain and for my senses. for summer & for snow & for my voice & for music & dance! Thank you also for the countless other things I am blessed with & thank you for my yahoo answers friends who give me honest answers & something to do when I can't sleep & I'm bored-I love you, Lord & please bless those who are less fortunate, Amen

What is my place here?

Im an american living in Mexico in the 8th grade,In the U.S people love me.But here its like they hate me , well some popular girls do from my classroom.Its weird because to be popular you have to be screaming all t8he time and kicking people, I dont like it, but if I am not like them im like a freak, I dont care about being popular what I care about is having friends, Im kinda quiet but not shy AT ALL ,in the US ive kinda always been popular.Everybody else in my school likes me..I think,guys love me and are always hitting on me.Uts lioke the only people I have are my best friends,which I had to change classes to be with after 4 months of school.I dont like giving up AT ALL so this decision was very hard for me to make.
Why do they hate me?

My local animal shelter is in need of desperate help! What can I do?

Have you ever been ripped off...by lifes ...?

negtive people in the world? Well here is the scenerio we went to a store and were not even in there 5 minutes when we came back my boyfriends stereo was stolen...I have to say it put a damper on things but I tried to look on the bright side and tell him it could have been worse they could have stolen his automobile. I just heed warning to all of you out there be careful around the holidays I know its time for good cheer and all that ....but don't forget there are bad apples out there also.

question about study group ediquette?

Ok, so, in my sociology class, i sit next to these 2 girls [real nice], and, we sometimee talk during class, nothing major. Anyway, were having a takehome test coming up, and one of the girls thought it was a good idea to like do it all together, so less wrong answers and stuff right, but nothing eles was mentioned after that. Would it be weird if i brought it up again and invited them ot meet somewhere and take the test together?

I just always feel weird making the first move. I'd like to become better friends with them, is this a good start? what do I do after that?

is the cross holy or is it just an evil tool of murder?

before you start crucifying me consider asking yourself this question . Had Jesus died by guillotine instead of being staked to the cross would Christians be walking around with little guillotines around their necks or would the priests be kissing guillotines as they deliver their sermons at the same time motioning with their hand to the back of their necks as if they were chopping their head off like they do the motioning with the cross when they kiss it then touch their forehead down to the stomach and then to each shoulder? Call me crazy but a cross is perhaps more evil than the guillotine in that the guillotine is a quick and painless death , and the cross is a slow and agonizing one.

If everyone smoked pot do you think the world would be more peaceful?

Don't get me wrong, I am a pro-pot person but I am also a smart girl and I see it's downsides as well. I just mean, hypothically, if everyone smoked pot, in moderation, would it cause world peace?

Christians and Everyone with descent knowledge please answer this?

First of all I meant no offence,I'm just trying to understand christianity, my housemate, Kath is a Catholic but she doesn't know how to answer me, so i need your help

Who is Jesus for all of you? Is he God ,what makes you say that Jesus is God? Is he the Son Of God? Why is he the Son Of God? God gave life to us all ,so why is Jesus the only Son Of God? Miracles? Lot's of the people back then are gifted. Please answer reasonably .Thank you
