Because any sane person finds it hard to accept that which does not exist, so fear not, you are well.

You aren't alone!
Could it be because of the history --& current behaviors-- of many --though not all-- who claim to worship God?

Because we live in a world filled with poverty, hate and greed!
It is easy to think that God either doesn,t exist, or that if he does, then he doesn't care.
I have a different opinion formed by years of Bible Reading, maybe, try to read a little bit of the Bible each day, and before you do, pray for help in understanding it, and God.
Give it a month, and see if you develop any feelings of acceptance of God.
Only you will know, and no Back door preachers will bother you.

because this world is so dark and sinful that the love of God has not been shown by very many people. He is there and wants you to be close to Him...just ask Him. I would think it would be harder to believe there was no God...and that all the earth and everything that was created "just happened" by random. That could never happen. All life is too orderly for there to be no higher being.

It all depends.. you might have been brainwashed to think all this could simply happen by chance... maybe your parents told you from a young age that there's no hope for a here after and Mr Hamster is just non existant now. Maybe you are affraid that if you start believing in God that you might believe in Miracles also .... who knows... lots of reasons I guess

Do you have proof that there is a god, or is it just a feeling of faith or belief? Can anyone actually prove that god is real? All there is , is the bible and the followers of all faiths. I doubt that you will find someone who can without a shadow of a doubt prove to you that god is real. If god is real may he strike you dead as soon as you're done reading this. You are free person, don't tie yourself up with this.

Because of all of the bad things that happen in this world and especially to good people, but you have to realize that God doesn't cause harm and sure doesn't lie. The world right now is in the power of the 'wicked one'.

"For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written, 'I will destroy the wisdom fo teh wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.'Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? For since in the wisdom of God, the world did not kow God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those that believe...But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even the things that are not, th bring to nothing the things that are, so that no human might boast in the presence of God."
I Corinthians 1:18-21, 27-29
The point is, you think more highly of yourself than you ought.

Faith is not the possession of all persons, as it is a fruit of God’s spirit. (2Th 3:2; Ga 5:22) And a Christian’s faith is not static, but it grows. (2Th 1:3) Hence, the request of Jesus’ disciples, “Give us more faith,” was very appropriate, and he did provide them the foundation for increased faith. He supplied them with greater evidence and understanding on which to base their faith.—Lu 17:5.

Logic. It was pointed out to me that faith is not logical.I wish it were easier to believe in gods and angels and such, but if you think too much about it,it becomes just another fairy tale.Only,I suppose, there's no really happy ending...
