OMG~~this is my specialty!!
HERE is the recipe:
--1 box, Jell-O brand Homemade Cheesecake mix
--12 ounces of hi-quality Cream cheese (I prefer Kraft)
-- 3 med. lemons
--1 or 2 navel oranges
--1 cup whole milk
--1 14-oz. can, Borden's Eagle Brand sweetened condensed Milk
--1 Graham cracker pie crust, the larger, the better!!
--1 small bottle any brand Molasses
*****************************************
First, remove graham cracker pie crust from packaging, and spread only a small amount, usually only 2 to 3 tablespoons of molasses onto it. With a spoon, spread out the molasses, covering the entire graham cracker crust (up the sides, too).
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees, and place the pie crust in the oven, for 5 minutes, remove when the molasses has "sunk into" the crust.
In a large mixing bowl, add the package mix, the cream cheese, after softening, and including the 1 cup whole milk, the juices of the three lemons and 1 orange, being very careful to remove the seeds (UGH). Mix with a hand mixer, until ingredients are fully mixed. NOW, TASTE THE MIXTURE.
Add the sweetened Eagle Brand until the taste is a blend of both sweet and sour, usually this is after adding 1/4 cup Eagle Brand.
But-- add to taste!!
Blend again, with the hand mixer, until the filling is completely blended. With a spatula, spread mixture into the graham cracker crust, and spread it out, filling every spot.
Refridgerate, until ready to serve, and you will be a big hit~!!!
******Think about serving with thawed, sweetened strawberries, but be ready to be kissed alot afterward, or 'better'......
best wishes and Merry Christmas, dear
***^(* For tomorrow, I am making three of these tonight, for my family, and two to deliver to elderly gals, who are alone***^(*
