i am catholic. Jesus is the second part of the trinity. there is god the head,Jesus the son,the holy spirit. although separate entities they become one in the trinity. Jesus is the way the word and the truth, these all come from god and we are guided and guarded by the holy spirit as to what the way the light and the truth is.god sent his only begotten son to spread the gospel and institute the church so we all can find our way to salvation. he sent the son to fulfill old testament prophecy and perfect the law in the covenant with his people through the sacrifice of his son which also freed us from sin and death(spiritual). Jesus performed miracles, cured people and suffered crucified for our salvation. Jesus will be seated at the right hand of the father in the kingdom. hard to understand the trinity but a good cathecism can help you if you are interested, you can also research it on most catholic websites.hope this helps, god bless.

In Christianity, God is the Supreme Being. He gave his only son to cleanse believers of their sins so they could have everlasting life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus was his only son, His most treasured gift so it was the supreme sacrifice in order to save the masses. The miacles come from God not the mortal man. The burning bush, the loaves and fishes, The parting of the Red Sea. God performed the miracles and helped those that believed in his promise.

You probably won't get a more satisfying answer, or the one you're looking for, but it can be useful to think of Jesus as the son of God in the way that we are all children of God. So when you see a begger on the street, that's Jesus. Or someone on death row.

The idea, at least for more liberal Christians is this -- Jesus is inside everyone, and therefor a reason to treat everyone -- from your friends to even those you hate the most and especially those who are the poorest among us, with love and compassion.

ALL religion of the last 2000 years is a direct distraction from the true message of Jesus which is this: Jesus was the son of God sent down to earth as a man to demonstrate how God wants us to be. He was a role model with a few magical abilities... just enough to impress upon people that he is the real deal and the messenger with the correct answers. All the political fools missed the point and created all this religion crap. Churches are socio-political entities for creating atrocities. That is all I believe you need to know. These people spend their lives going over this doggerel and never become true spiritual beings. RISE ABOVE ALL THAT CRAP.... read these below

Jesus is the holy gost what makes me say that because he is God and he is the son of god and no back then not everyone was gifted like he was not every one back then you do what he did plus he died on the cross for are sins that is why he is the only son and the true son he was the only one that could do true miracles.

Jesus is the only son of God, because God said so himself. I think that is in all of the Gospels. But God came to Mary and to Joseph and told them they would be parents to his only son. If you read the prelude to "The Christmas Story" (the part with Mary and Gabriel) it explains what happens pretty well. In my opinion, Mary is a holy woman who was sinless at conception and throughout her life.
Jesus to me is the savior of the world. He died for our sins, which was God's plan for him in the beginning, and because of Jesus, I know that I can be forgiven for being a faulted human sometimes. Not to say that I sin knowing I can be forgiven, but that no one is perfect, and entry into heaven isn't all that easy. Jesus makes it easier.
Jesus is also God, or rather, the other way around. God in his infinity is the Father, Son and Holy Ghost (which is a whole other explanation) Jesus was a part of God that was sent to earth as human to die for our sins. It's hard to understand (and not all people believe this way...it is a catholic belief) Jesus's title as son of God is somewhat metaphorical, and somewhat not.

Uhhh....Hope that helps!

Jesus was the human form of God...the Holy Spirit endwells the believer...hence, Father, Son, Holy Spirit...the triune. Miracles are still possible; God can do anything. However, in this church age, people are not gifted to heal, speak in tongues, prophesy, etc. People who claim to have those gifts are misinterpreting the Bible. Also, God does not audibly speak to people..it's the Holy Spirit working in and through us.

Jesus was here before the world was, chose to come here, and chose to allow himself to be sacrificed to give humanity a way to heaven. He is God, and is also the Son of God by being born on Earth to a human woman (also called the Son of Man in certain translations.)

who is Jesus would have a different answer from different Christians ... but to me Jesus is the son of God
God is he supreme creator .. to me .. Jesus is the human form created by god so that man would believe - Jesus was the teacher of Gods word
Mary gave birth to Jesus which according to the bible was immaculate conception therefore god is seen to be be maker of Jesus .. that's why Jesus is the son of God ... and he is considered the only son because Mary only had one immaculate conception (according the the bible and teachings of the church) Hope that makes some kind of sense
