The fundies love to point out the sins of OTHER people -- to cover up their own faults (as they pretend to be saved by "grace"). So, if we are going to hell, then be sure to look around and be amazed at the hypocrites who are there -- and that includes those who use the old testament to preach against gays while stuffing their faces full of shrimp.

i am not sure you are going to hell..i mean the bible has been rewritten several times..and although i am straight it is my understanding that gay men and women cant help being what they are.. why would anyone want to choose the life style that so many people look down upon.. you would not unless it is who you are and that is what makes you happy.. as for going to hell you will just have to wait like the rest of us to find out.. there are a lot of straight so called Christians that are going to be in for a surprise when they meet st peters at the gates of heaven... were not suppose to judge that is for god alone

Considering Leviticus also says "Do not cut the hair at the sides of your head or clip off the edges of your beard" ,"Do not cut your bodies for the dead or put tattoo marks on yourselves", "‘Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material", "And the pig... you must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you" I think it is going to be crowded with the addition of men who shave, people with tattoos, farmers, people with blended clothes, and football players.

Unfortunately, Leviticus also states "Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself," so I guess amber/donald/penny and kkkjewhater62/pinkbox63 will also be there.

To put it simply, Jesus formed a New Covenant with man. Being God in the flesh, He came to fulfill the prophets and the law. He died for our sins in that if we repent of our sins and trust Him to save us on Judgment Day, then He will be our Savior and not our Judge.

He spoke about new wine. A new covenant. Old bottles were those under the Old Testament laws (ie.: eating shrimp/shellfish). Therefore, it was hard for those who regimentally followed the Old Testament doctrines for the sake of duty and not the spirit behind it (intentions) to accept Jesus' teachings of faith and grace.
