Why do people suddenly become religious? I am talking about how people who had been atheist their entire life, suddenly deciding they believe in God because they are close to death or a loved one dies. I don't believe in God, and could never imagine changing my opinion. No offense to those people, but if they changed their opinions so quickly did they ever really NOT believe in God?

I havnt had a girlfriend in years. It seems i've lost my mojo. I used to talk to alot of girls and i had a lot of girlfriends. Now that i'm in high school I have no girlfriends. It makes me feel sad. Is this what G-d wants from us? What do you belive he is saying right now? What is your Jesus's, Mose's, Buddha's, Brahma's....what are they thinking as they look down at us right now? Squabbling and talking to each other in such cruel and horrible ways......have you no shame? Threats, foul languge... is it nessacary when speacking of somthing like religon? PREGNANT TURKEY STORY: One year at Thanksgiving, my mom went to my sister's house for the traditional feast. Knowing how gullible my sister is, my mom decided to play a trick. She told my sister that she needed something from the store. When my sister left, my mom took the turkey out of the oven, removed the stuffing, stuffed a Cornish hen, inserted it into the turkey, and re-stuffed the turkey. She then placed the bird(s) back in the oven. When it was time for dinner, my sister pulled the turkey out of the oven and proceeded to remove the stuffing. When her serving spoon hit something, she reached in and pulled out the little bird. With a look of total shock on her face, my mother exclaimed: "Patricia, you've cooked a pregnant bird!" At the reality of this horrifying news, my sister started to cry. It took the family two hours to convince her that turkeys lay eggs!!!!!!!! HA HA!

Why does it seem like some people spend WAY more time trying to argue why their religion is the CORRECT religion and/or try to press their religion on others instead of just practicing their religion and being happy with it?

Now, I am not saying that immigrants should not learn english, because I definitely believe that anyone moving to another country should try his or her hardest to learn the country's native tongue. But again, why should they lose their heritage as well? Why must immigrants conform and forget their roots just to have a better life here in the US?
I think that everyone needs to think back through their family trees and remember that they, too, came from another place, or at least once spoke a different language or dialect than what is spoken here.
Even those people of UK ancestry speak a different dialect than that of their ancestors. Have they forgotten this?
If they have, they need to wake up and realize that there is a huge world out there, with many different types of beautiful and wonderful cultures. No one should ever have to give up where they came from...and it is ignorant and infuriating to me to think that there are so many people out there that expect someone to do this.

Ok, If you truly knew or thought you were in love with someone would you make a final and third attempt to make contact and ask why they stopped talking to you. The first time she responded to me and the next two she didn't. I just wanna know why and what I did. Is there a subtle way of going about this. We both like each other so I don't know what the deal is. I have her number and email and I've been using the email. I just need to know so that I can move on.

Dont you find it strange there is no other suspect. Not even an option. When people get murdered the police dont just stop looking for a suspect if one is found innocent. No one kept looking and no one ever will.
p.s. what innocent man drive though the city with a gun to his head like a psycho, caring a fake ID and thousands of dollars to excape the county?
