one of my favorite quotes....

"There are two types of people in this world, good and bad. The good sleep better, but the bad seem to enjoy the waking hours much more."

If life were a book your statement might have some merit, but the facts of life require a little more reality. There are grey areas. There are good people, bad people, and people who can not fall into either category. Some may call these people good, others call them bad, still others are unsure of them. There is good and bad in all of us so it depends on how you want to define “Good.” Do you say that anyone who is not good must be bad? How bad can a person be before you say they are no longer good?

Personally, I believe there is some good in virtually everyone. I also believe I would be hard pressed to find anyone who did not have some bad in them. Additionally, I believe you pose an interesting question best left to philosophers and old sages.

Have a great day, Hon.

I think I'm a nice person by nature (probably because of upbringing), but I've still done some really bad things.
In some ways, I think the fact that I've done them and felt pain, and fear, and guilt, make me a nicer person now as I can understand other people more, and be aware of what can make people act in a bad way.
I think it must be mostly to do with parents and how you are raised, and whether you are taught to have a conscience from an early age, and to care about other people rather than yourself.

I suppose that I would have hoped I was "NICE" if I had thought about it. To sustain a 42 year relationship takes a degree of niceness.
My beloved passed away when I was on long leave. When I returned I found her family had let her die alone, then treated her remains shamefully. I was filled with guilt, rage, shame and self loathing to the extent that I would have killed one of the family by Gwen's grave.
I think the current term is "I lost It".
My life was destroyed for ages but the help of my brother, his family and the professionals helped me to recover to the point where I can now forgive those others.
I do not think I am nice, but hope for acceptance.
Sincerely, Rose P.

I am a nice person but I also love to debate but don't take it as being mean. It is just who I am.

A flower grows with what you feed into it. The more love the brighter the flower the less love the flower will wilt and lose its luster.
People are defined by there upbringing.

no, i don't think people are all nice. i think the two kinds of people are bad and okay people. even nice people can be evil. i consider myself to be a very pleasant person. but i guess i can become untrustworthy and really mean.

I consider myself a nice person. Because I came from a nice family. I believe your environment determines who you are, And what you become.
