Love is blind and mutually felt true love will prevail over everything. That being said let me point out the problems. If you were 35 and he was 51 (same as 19 to 35) It wouldn't be as hard since you would have both knocked around the world or been knocked around by it, for awhile and experienced a fair bit of life. Right now you are in such different places, you can't imagine. Your ready to head off to college and start meeting people as an adult. New jobs, Spring Break, travel, boys .... the list goes on. He, on the other hand has probably already done all of that and is ready to move on to kids, a home, settling in while your branching out. He will, without meaning to or realizing it, stand in your way as you try to experience the very rights of passage that will help define who you are. So again, not impossible or weird, but it makes me sad to think of what you will be passing up and I hope you won't feel that way also in 16 years. Enter a relationship with eyes wide open, then close them. Best of luck to you both.

Hey, are you in love with you professor? If you are in love and he is still single and unmarried, go ahead and tell him that you love him. It would be great if he himself loves you too. However, one thing that you need to bear in mind is a teacher cannot have personal relationship with student as this is against his work ethics.
If you just "like" that professor, I do not see any harm getting close to him by having a sincere friendship with him. Are we not all brothers and sisters?
Hope this will help. Good luck..

Professors aren't allowed to date their students. Find someone your own age to date instead of doing something that might jeopardize this person's career.

Depends whether he is married or not. If you're in 1 of his classes, you should wait until you are out of it. Then, he's fair game. But, I wouldn't advise it.
