Ok, I have a laundry list and would just like to hear your take on some issues.

1) Why did God send two bears to kill 40 chilren for making fun of a bald guy?
2) How does god have a plan for us yet we have free will?
3) Why are there only 10 commandments if there are more sins?
4) Does it make sense that god already knows everything, has been around forever, yet he wastes his time with a human experiment?
5) What about the good man in Africa who kills to protect his family but never knows about god, does he go to hell?
6) Isn't it likely or probable that somewhere along the line the Bible was changed? afterall, it was written by men.... and if so you put your trust in men, not god.
7) If we were created, and we're descendants of Adam + Eve, how did we get black people and chinese people? And even with evolution, 10,000 years isn't enough time for such changes to occur.
8) Explain defects, I mean, if we're so perfect that we must have been designed how do you explain genetic mutations?

I've translated the sentence, "In the evenings, our family eats dinner at 6:00" to "Por las noches, nuestra familia comemos la cena a las seis." I'm not too sure about the "comemos" part, though. Would it be "come" instead?

-- if your god can't be bothered to make a believer out of this atheist, then what hope is there for the rest of the world?

After all, it would be such a _small_ thing for a god to do. And yet, I've just waited five minutes before posting this, just to give him / it another opportunity, and I'm SO still an atheist. (Sigh. Stood up again....)

I know about the movie and all that but I've never seen it. I need to know all about the properties of the blood orchid. I'm thinking about writing a Harry Potter fan fiction in which Snape would need to have the flower to make a potion for their side. Can anyone give any info info to this? Maybe a good site where I can do "research" on this for my story?

let me first say i am somewhat a devoted christian. im not here to bash so F off ^_^. ok my question is why are there so many people bashing christianity. not every christian "forces" religion onto people. Our duty is to spread the word of the bible but i agree there are some who go to the extreme and "force" it on people. but why bash everyone believing christianity. can't you just say i hate "guys who force religion onto people" instead of "F off ALL christians blah blah i don't want to believe your crap" ok so don't believe it. our duty is to spread the word not crush it into your brain. i'm not saying all atheists (only thing that comes to mind since they are the ones bashing mostly) and others are like this just some. i can respect you don't want to believe it after you read it and stuff but come on have a little respect for the other man as well. my little two cents. sorry if it seems like i'm bashing when i don't think i am. ^_^ i still want my question answered!!! ~rawr~

Sa'id ibn 'Abdu'l-'Aziz from Rabi'a ibn Yazid from Abu Idris al-Khawlani from Abu Dharr Jundub ibn Junada reported from the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, in what is related from what Allah the Blessed and Almighty said,

"O My slaves! I have forbidden injustice to Myself and I have made it unlawful between you, so do not wrong one another. O My slaves! All of you are misguided except those that I guide, so seek My guidance and I will guide you. O My slaves! All of you are hungry except those that I feed so ask me for food and I will feed you. O My slaves! All of you are naked except those that I clothe so ask me for clothing and I will clothe you. O My slaves! You make mistakes by night and by day and I forgive all wrong actions so ask for My forgiveness and I will forgive you. O My slaves! You will never attain to My harm so as to be able to harm Me and you will never attain to My benefit so as to be able benefit Me.......

when i was 10 yrs old, in a small dark village, where there was no electricity, 5 children returned home alone about 12.00 m.n.the eldest 13 yrs old.We closed the door with 5 tower bolts, all of a sudden, the door began shaking violently and flew open, this occured about 5 times, after closing by the same means. Screams brought help from neighbours who lives about 1000 ft. away. Now i am much older i get the creeps thinking about it. I was not afraid at the time.

Isn't true love unconditional and must be felt by both man and woman? Shouldn't it be based on everyday experiences rather than a notion and feeling of "being in Love"?

"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ***." - 1 Samuel 15:2-3

.......what rational being in their right mind could possibly condone it? Innocent babies who are oblivious of even their own toes, defenseless animals having nothing to do with human politics, violently slaughtered in the name of a pure and "loving" god?

It really irks their ire when Christians are presented with their own scripture as reason not to follow. Deep down in the subconscious, the Christian cannot condone it, therein lies their conflict. They must either denounce it or try to save face, since they have already proclaimed to the world that their Bible is THE perfect will of a just and loving god, and try (against their own heart of hearts) to spin it as something good. You may have your "truth" of the Bible, but i choose the honesty of me own heart. Thank you.

Why do I keep hearing that Christians have to be conservative or they are not real christians? I believe in the right for people to be who they really are and that may make me a independent but I still am a christian.
