The behaviour of the followers do not reflect the actual context of the religion. Not all Jw's are bad, not all Christians are nutters... What you should do is study the different religions and find the true one.

First of all, Quakers are Christians, so you didn't need to add them.
Secondly, you are making gross generalisations. SOME jws are bad and SOME christians are nutters. You might just as well say that all cows have BSE!

Well, JWs are completely horrid, a cult, not a true religion, Fundamental Christian extremist are nutters, and quakers from another planet.
Before throwing it all in, check out the CofE (Anglican). You might contact a local vicar and tell him or her you wish to discuss the sweet, gentle reason of Anglician beliefs.
Anglicans can be very high church (catholic), middle (broad and inclusive) and low church (quite protestant). There is a place for everyone seeking answers. It becomes a home for many.
All the best on your journey,
Charles

I'd say be a "seeker" for a while. Read, read, read, talk to people of all opinions and then work it out for yourself what seems right to you.
Don't think of it as "I'd better pick a line and get in it quick!" It's a big decision, choosing a philosophy to guide your life. Don't make a snap judgement.
Heck, it may turn out that Techno-Buddhism or Rational Materialism will be what helps you find a way to be the best you there is.
That said, I have some literature for you.... :-)
I've liked your questions so far on yahoo answers. I'd be glad to swap some ideas with you in a more organized fashion.
I've spent my whole life trying to get a handle on the "big questions" and I still don't claim to know "the truth" in any real sense. But I've read a lot, studied a lot, and might be able to point you in some new directions. I won't try to convert you to any "-ism" since I know that what helps one person on their path won't work for everybody. It's waaaaay more complicated than that.
Anyway, drop me a line if you wish.

JW's, quakers, mormons, lutherionas, protestants, catholics...they're all christians with a slight twist. the jewish faith isnt too bad, nor is islam to be honest, budhism is ok as is shintoism or wikka, sheit they even tried to get jedi recognised as a religion a couple of years back in oz. in the end the only person who knows which religion if for you is you. so long as you arent reaking any laws who cares? you dont murder people? you arent robbing people? you arent a kiddy fiddler? you are in a jod or intend to get a job after youve finnished colleg/uni/school right? if there is a god he wont worry what faith you follow so long as you leave a decent life and stick by some moral code which basically says "dont **** on me and i wont **** on you" you should make it to your cloud with your harp/paradise or where ever it is we all go when we die

Well could you be happy being you, and not belong to any for a little longer.
Just be you for awhile, and listen, maybe you'll hear a calling - many have.
To hop from one to the other and not have any roots won't accomplish much. Most trees need time to spread roots and meet the other trees, have good days and bad days, in a faith. You know?
Try relaxing, and being at peace for a little while, then restart your quest.

Please give Islam as chance... Here are some websites which may be useful:
http://www.iad.org/intro/intro.html
http://www.mideasti.org/indepth/islam/introislam.htm
http://www.introductiontoislam.org/
Please consider learning about Islam. Thank you.
If you have a mosque nearby you, why don't you go and have a look and just see for yourself. They usually have free books aswell which you can take. Just look throughout lots of religions and see what you like. Personally, I pick Islam.
Good luck!
May Allah guide you through the straight path.

Quakers and Jehovahs Witnesses believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, y'know.
What you should do is seek the living God and ask him if he might teach you about himself.

The best religion there is within you. You really don't need to seek spirituality base on dogmas and doctrines. Spirituality is the "I" and it what makes every person unique. Be yourself and love others as how you love yourself. That is the best religion you can find.
