Jesus is the One who said that He is the only way to the Father. For Christians to say that there are other ways to find peace with God is to bear false testimony. In one sweeping statement, Jesus discards all other religions as a means of finding forgiveness of sins. This agrees with other Scriptures: "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved" (Acts 4:12), and "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus" (1 Timothy 2:5).

I'm writing a story and I can't find any signs of a farm being bewitched on google. In the movie Warlock, the horses sweat in the morning and the milk curdled soon after the cows were milked. But does anyone know a source, or have any info on this sort of thing? It's effects on animals? Counter curses?

Have you noticed that 99% of people take peoples questions and make the most negative remark about them, but never actually answer the question? Why are people so negative on yahoo questions? If you don't want to answer, don't!

"Judge not lest you be judged. You therefore have no right to judge me when it comes to my sins!"

The world often takes this verse out of context and uses it to accuse Christians of being "judgmental" when they speak of sin. In the context of the verse Jesus is telling His disciples not to judge one another, something the Bible condemns (Romans 14:10; James 4:11). In Luke 6:41,42 He speaks of seeing a speck in a brother’s eye. In John 7:24 He said, "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." If someone steals, lies, commits adultery or murder, etc., the Christian can make a (righteous) moral judgment and say that the actions were morally wrong, and that these sins will have eternal consequences. Chuck Colson said, "True tolerance is not a total lack of judgment. It’s knowing what should be tolerated—and refusing to tolerate that which shouldn’t."

I am at work right now. I work at a hospital. We just saw a lady (not a patient) that was talking on her cell phone walking down the hall. We told her that cell phones are not permitted on our unit, but, she rolled her eyes and contined to talk. As she was walking to the stairs she got distracted and tripped and SLID down about 8 steps! She was not hurt and a couple of us went to check on her. She was so embarrassed that she got up and ran out! After she left, we all just fell out laughing (dude for real, one of my co-workers was actually on the floor). Do you think we were wrong?

During the past several months, conveniently coincidental or sometimes just inexplicable things keep on happening. Some of them are very nice, like many events turning to my favor, or acts of mercy that I truly don't deserve. Others are mischievious. Things will go missing, and after searching relentlessly for them, will appear on my counter. I can't remember all the odd things that have happened to me, but after finding my remote today, I just feel compelled to ask "Why?"
So does anyone think they have an answer?

You probably missed it in the rush of news last week, but there was
actually a report that someone in Pakistan had published in a newspaper
an offer of a reward to anyone who killed any American or Canadian.
So an Australian dentist wrote an editorial the following day to let
everyone know what an American or Canadian is, so they would know when
they found one. (Good one, mate!!!! )......He wrote:

An American or Canadian is English, or French, or Italian, Irish,
German, Spanish, Polish, Russian or Greek. An American may also be
Canadian, Mexican, African, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean,
Australian, Iranian, Asian, or Arab, or Pakistani or Afghan. An
American or Canadian may also be a Comanche, Cherokee, Osage, Blackfoot,
Navaho, Apache, Seminole or one of the many other tribes known as Native
Americans or Canadians.

An American or Canadian is Christian, or he could be Jewish, or
Buddhist, or Muslim. In fact, there are more Muslims in America or
Canada than in Afghanistan. The only difference is that in America they
are free to worship as each of them chooses.

An American or Canadian is also free to believe in no religion. For that
he will answer only to God, not to the government, or to armed thugs
claiming to speak for the government and for God.

An American or Canadian lives in the most prosperous lands in the
history of the world. The root of that prosperity can be found in the
Declaration of Independence, which recognizes the God given right of
each person to the pursuit of happiness.

An American or Canadian is generous. Americans or Canadians have helped
out just about every other nation in the world in their time of need,
never asking a thing in return. When Afghanistan was over-run by the
Soviet army 20 years ago, Americans and Canadians came with arms and
supplies to enable the people to win back their country! As of the
morning of September 11, Americans had given more than any other nation
to the poor in Afghanistan.

Americans and Canadians welcome the best of everything, the best
products, the best books, the best music, the best food, and the best
services. But they also welcome the least. The national symbol of
America, the Statue of Liberty, welcomes your tired and your poor, the
wretched refuse of your teeming shores, the homeless, tempest tossed.
These in fact are the people who built America. Some of them were
working in the Twin Towers the morning of September 11, 2001 earning a
better life for their families. It's been told that the World Trade
Center victims were from at least 30 different countries, cultures, and
first languages, including those that aided and abetted the terrorists.

So you can try to kill an American or Canadian if you must. Hitler did.
So did General Tojo, and Stalin, and Mao Tse-tung, and other
blood-thirsty tyrants in the world. But, in doing so you would just be
killing yourself, because Americans and Canadians are not a particular
people from a particular place. They are the embodiment of the human
spirit of freedom. Everyone who holds to that spirit, everywhere, is an
American or a Canadian

Please keep this going! Pass this around the World. Then pass it
around again. It says it all, for all of us.

I answered a question about JW's and gave a true story from my life as an example. I got thumbs down.

Personally....I have no problem with JW's making their choice, but I see no reason to put limits on my Higher Power.

What are your thoughts on how you percieve your God? Trustworthy or not?
