Never allow spomeone to be your priority while allowing yourself to be their option.

I think it applies to me a lot but i just wanted to know if others feel it applies to them aswell and if anyone has any good sayings let me know!

Funny you mentioned it. It's my default sentence on my MSN profile. Just a tad different, mine says:"Never make someone your priority when you're only one of their options".

I love this quote. It should apply to everyone. It's true that we should love unconditionally, but letting someone be a priority when we're not... there's some unbalance right there that will create problems later on.
Don't give up on your dreams for someone that 1. asks you to 2. wouldn't do the same. One day they might disappear from your life and you'll have nothing in your hands, except for the memory of what you gave up. Do it for the right person if you have to. And the right person treats you as a priority, not a second (third, fourth...) choice. My 2 cents.

Oh, it applies to me too!!! But people appreciate being somewhat high on the priority list, it is just dependence that is the issue. Appreciation and adoration are fine to express, in fact in moderation would enhance any relationship whether it be peers, lovers....But that saying is a great thing to keep in mind, especially for those us with the neediness problem!
