Jehovah's Witnesses do *NOT* avoid any home (except those which seem literally unsafe such as during construction or with free-roaming yard animals) during their house-to-house bible-education ministry. Jehovah's Witnesses love their homelands and respect their flags, and that is part of the reason they work so hard to try and help their countrymen to learn about God's will and purposes for the future.
Why would overtly patriotic people be any less deserving?
(Acts 10:34-35) God is not partial, 35 but in every nation the man that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him

I was raised a Jehovah's Witness but I am not longer practicing and that is not true. An American Flag will not make a Jehovah's Witness stay away from your house. It's not like an American Flag is a Cross and Witnesses are Vampires. It doesn't work like that. So whoever told you that really doesn't know what he/she/they are talking about.

A flag does not mean a person is any more patriotic than other, than wearing a Cross makes a person more Christian. It is just a symbol. My stepfather kept a flag in front of the house. He was a Korean Veteran and very much against witnesses. He would hide and burn the books my mother was studying. That was over 40 years ago, and he's been a witness for 40.

Jesus died so as that we could have the two freedom and eternal existence something that the international leaders can't promise. The superb court ruled that it somewhat is a style of worship touch any Jehovah Witness and ask them to show you the superb court case ruling interior the e-e book "protecting and Legally setting up the stable information" if your a Bible reader bear in techniques the account of the three Hebrew boys, Shadrack, Meshack and Abendigo? It replaced right into a statue that represented the Babylonian empire, they did no longer use a flag however the component is an identical. it somewhat is beneficial to touch your Congressman and ask them for the e-e book "Our Flag" They admit that it somewhat is a style of worship. JW's do no longer worship flags they're idols ineffective ones at that>

well i'm not sure if it's true what i can tell you is that when i was 19 my best friend was studying to become a witness and i was engaged at the time and my fiance got called up for a tour of duty in iraq. well my friend called me after he left and told me that the church wouldn't allow us to be friends any longer because i was associated with the war and she couldn't be involved because they don't believe in the war or the government.
i thought that was awful i don't know if they all believe that way or it was just hte kingdom hall she went to but i think it was wrong

I don't think so. When I came home the other day, there was a watchtower in my mailbox. You cannot believe how big the flag is that I have in my front window. They sure didn't refuse to come to my house.

The way I heard it they consider the flag a pagan symbol. The same reason they won't say the Pledge of Allegiance, as they think it glorifies the country rather than their god.
