I am at work right now. I work at a hospital. We just saw a lady (not a patient) that was talking on her cell phone walking down the hall. We told her that cell phones are not permitted on our unit, but, she rolled her eyes and contined to talk. As she was walking to the stairs she got distracted and tripped and SLID down about 8 steps! She was not hurt and a couple of us went to check on her. She was so embarrassed that she got up and ran out! After she left, we all just fell out laughing (dude for real, one of my co-workers was actually on the floor). Do you think we were wrong?

Technically yes since you are at a hospital, but for being normal human beings, no. I work at a hospital too and we have a few of those type of people that is why I love security being right there in the ER with us. No one has ever ignored them so far.

But the way I see it, if she doen't mind risking someones life by her cell screwing with the monitors for the patient then I don't mind seeing her fall flat on her face

I personally would have laughed until I needed oxygen!!!

I am sure that you are not laughing to be mean, but there is such a thing as nervous laughter which can occur when something like this happens.

I am glad that the lady did not get hurt. I wonder if she will take this as a lesson to not have the cell phone in use constantly???

(P.S. I would be laughing right along with you....comedy relief....right???)

(P.S. 2 At least she was in a safe place to get hurt.....)

Have a good day...

If only that could happen more often to people on cell phones who aren't paying attention to their surroundings, and seemingly polite requests to turn the phone off...LOL!!

I am glad she wasn't hurt though. Good of you all to check on her first and laugh later!!

Absolutely not! You did the respectable thing and checked on her. She had an attitude and basically got what she deserved. I would of been right there laughing with you

No, I would have laughed to. You were nice enough to go check on her. Once you saw she was okay then you laughed. FUNNY!

You didn't laugh at her in her presence so nothing wrong with what you did...I would have had more than a few chuckles myself!
