Hindu is a culture and not a faith born in India and their faith is based on the Indian ancestry ( geographical and political ) who can perform the religious creeds in any part of India. But Muslim religious creeds are based on the Arabian deserts, where water was scarce, but they wanted to perform in the same manner at all places. Hindu (east of Sind) believes Sun gives to light to all Universe and they respect Universal happiness and looks the Lord Sun while worshipping at any part of the world, but the other always looks to their God who sits in Mecca and .... Besides non-vegetarianism (eating dead body ) from the deserts has also differentiated the people, which is the basic difference among the world. Vegetarianism (see Buddh, Jain, and so on) makes man more and more civilised to love the God's world.

zubair i know you ask the right question you want to know thats good for you but sorry i dont know why but let me tell you there is discrimination between hindus & muslims because the Hindu is a culture and not a faith born in India and their faith is based on the Indian ancestry ( geographical and political ) who can perform the religious creeds in any part of India. But Muslim religious creeds are based on the Arabian deserts, where water was scarce, but they wanted to perform in the same manner at all places. Well, for one thing, Diwali is actually pronounced and written as Deepavali in sanskrit as this festival originated from Sanskrit. So, you can't really compare Ramzan with "Deepavali". And also the discrimination was going on from 50 years, so we can't really change anything, no matter how much we try.

Are all the person above who gave the answers INSANE?????
Does anyone's religion teaches us to discriminate?
It is due to the political strategies that made differences in us. Those above people favouring other religions must know the realities of their religion also, I have many hindu friends who eat non-veg very often. Just due to some people the whole communiy is blamed. So why discrimination??????????????

In Diwali, the ali is coincidental. Actually, you must spell it as Deepavali. But, that is a very ingenious way of emphasising the oneness of religion. But, none from that religion will agree on the oneness.

pagal! eid is for Allah(not Ali) and diwali is for Ram. Eid is for muslims and diwali is for hindus. They are seperate religions there's gonna be discrimination! example: Have christians and muslims EVER gotten along with each other?!

are you nuts??

your intention may be good but the means are totally wrong brother.

FYI, Hindu scriptures also beleive in One God and are generally against Idol worship. How about you read the Hindu Scriptures first and try to find common grounds with Islam on these concepts.

People like you learn those slogans from political parties and ask questions as if you are the only one to work on unifying the 2 religions
