listening to the radio this morning and this christian guy was actually trying to rationally explain in terms of logistics, how each pair of species and all the food that would be needed, could fit onto noahs ark.

what planet are these people on and why do we have them on the radio. we dont interpret stories of king arthur as literary fact but as literary devices, albeit based on factual events and peoples. if religeon is to provide people with a framework of ethics and codes of behaviour it can in most cases be of no negative consequence to others but this tradition of warping peoples minds to the point that they cease to function rationally and independantly is surely dangerous.

Is it fading into the background. Millions of people gave the ultimate sacrifice and many more lived in appaling conditions and yet hardly anything seems to happen. Yes we all wear poppies and have remebrance sunday and lay wreaths but appart from this its nothing, not everyone wears poopies, its just a yearly thing and often the silence is forgotten. Do we need to do more to remeber them cause I'm sure we do much less than they deserve and ignore it for the rest of the year. I know it was a long time ago but there are still wars today. What do you think?

Polish immigrants arrive in Britain with racist views on non-white Britons.Where does this level of arrogancy come from considering their status of migrant workers?Slovaks and Latvians do not have this problem so why do Poles feel it right to insult the Britons who are non-white?

Why is it that in any discussion forums that I go through, all Christians are being blasted for just about damn near everything? Don't you think that saying that "Christians are this way," is stereotyping them? If you think about it, there are a lot of Christians out there. And a lot of them are good, honest people. Just because you may have an encounter with an overzealous evangelist saying you'll go to hell, doesn't mean everyone thinks the same way. It's unfortunate that the most vocal Christians are the ones who are preaching fire and brimstone. The most silent ones, are the good ones. A lot of Christians happen to be very open and accepting. I happen to have a gay friend, who I don't think is going to hell, because he is a nice person. I believe in evolution. I welcome other beliefs. But why is it, that I still get lumped in with the preachers and televangelists, who clearly don't represent me? Why is it that I am under attack, just for being a Christian?

I spent 10 years of my life in the French system but ever since I got out of it and transferred to regular English I been forgetting my French. I still know how to speek it but it takes me time to warm up and the spelling is almost gone. I wish to use these skills in future employment but I fear that time has done it's part and that now there is no time to catch up on the more advanced matters such as proper spelling and proper use of word that you just can't directly translate into English by dictionary. Apart form regular daily exercises is there anything else I could do to regain my French witch was actually the first language I learned to speak. Details please? Thank You
