It has been reported that Jesus had olive tan skin...because the people of the area were like that...he was a jewish man and jews were tanned originally..u know...arabs and jews are cousins and all..
anyway...
it doesnt matter what color is..
people shud wake up and stop calling a human being God when it just means: God chose to come down as a human man who has olive skin...thats so messed up...God does not have preference....Jesus ..aint God. Hes just so close to God that any ol christian can see that through his message...but he was still a human...loved by God...loved so much that he was given one of the biggest miracles...to bring the dead alive by His will.

Jesus was born a Jew, not exactly Arabian but with a similar skin tone.
Various European Christians have portrayed Jesus as a pallid frail European man with a long beard and long hair.
As far as I know Jesus is/was Jewish and not European or African in race.
If an African nation or empire had become a dominant world empire in early times I suppose Jesus would be portrayed as a black man - look at Rastafarianism for modern day comparisons.

The answer to this is in the Evolution of Catholicism. When The Roman empire adopted Christianity under the Emperor Constantine, instead of destroying the old church and replacing it completely, the roman church kept many pagan rituals and symbols in order to smooth the transition from a pagan multi deity religion to the single god common to monotheastic religions. As a reault we got white Jesus. Another interesting thing are the dates of the roman calander and their similarities with Christianity. The occasion of Easter was the Feastday to celibrate the Goddess Venus who was the goddess of fertility and love. This is why we give each other easter bunnies and Easter eggs. And Christmas was the feast day for Jupitor, king of the gods.

Genetically, he was not anymore Arabic, or African, than he was Jewish. He was a perfect human being, containing all the base genetic pairs that Adam had, the beginner of us all. The first perfect human being, Adam brought sin into the world, Jesus, as a perfect human being, will to remove it as a result of his sacrifice.
Adam means red man, and having all the same genetic material, Christ would have been the same. eighteen years of working in the sun would have added to that, but without the usual leather affects experienced by imperfect humans.

No that is not true, Jesus was not on the outward appearing tall, dark and handsome, Isa.53:2 says He was very much plane looking, His good looks came from inside, not from what one could see outwardly, He was often times attacked by A crowd, the preist and others to try to kill Jesus then and there but He was able to pass by them without them touching Him because possible that He looked just like other folks, even perhaps like yourself, hay free bible lessons learn more www.itiswritten.com visit A Seventh Day Adventist Church in your area on Sabbath [saturday, sunday the first day has never in the bible been called holy or sabbath] email me also wgr88@yahoo.com more bible questions try www.bibleinfo.com God Bless

I find it strange that Christians portray the image as Jesus as being white knowing he is from the middle east.Yet i feel they choose to adopt this imagine to deny the truth.They have so many different portraits/pictures of Jesus but i wonder if he was to reveal himself whether they would even recognize him?

Jesus had olive skin - it's kind of cool when you think about it - it's like a combination of every single skin tone on earth!

It just does not matter what He looked/looks like, but...
Ex 20:4
"You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth;

because all the poweful men in the world when they were creating depictions of him painted him as such. as you know it wouldnt be cool to have an arabic looking jesus. cos they were white. and jesus had to look like them.
so thats why blue eyed, auburbn haired jesus exists...
