it is the jewish belief that jews were chosen to have a special mission on earth - to spread the word of G-d and to be a "holy people" - i.e. by following the commandments.
as for chosen in the sense of having "special priveleges", no. we believe that G-d loves and accepts everybody, regardless of which religion they belong to. there's no creepy "be a jew or go to hell!" doctrine in judaism like there is in certain other religions.

I don't know where you get this ideal that God is not a Judgement God, God is a God of Love, Judgement & wrath. And yes The Jews is a Chosen people of God, Why do you think God are bringing them home to Israel, So they can scatter all those Arabs & muslims away from the Promised Land.

Yes, and so do Catholics. Catholics believe that the Jews were chosen to carry to all mankind the great message that there is ONE God.
The Jewish people continue to carry out the mission God chose them for, and they have done it diligently and faithfully, even in the face of great suffering, over a course of nearly 4000 years since Abraham.
As Christians, we are greatly in their debt.

its not belief to christians, it is the truth.the Israelites were slaves to the Egyptians centuries ago.GOD chose Moses to free them. of course Moses had a difficult time and after many attempts and many plagues that were cast upon the people of Egypt,Moses led GODs people out of bondage. however the pharoh changed his mind once again and led his soldiers to capture the Israelites but he and his army met their deaths in the Red Sea when GOD separated the waters to let HIS people cross and then the waters came back together again drowning the Egyptians. im not sure if Jews of today have the same belief as christians but i believe it. the Holy Bible is the inspired word of GOD and it contains so many exciting stories of how GOD has worked helping all that believe in HIM and HIS son JESUS CHRIST.there are Jews now known as Jews for JESUS. they believe in GOD the FATHER, GOD the SON and GOD the SPIRIT. this is the TRINITY.

The Jews are no longer God's chosen people. That ended with Jesus being rejected by them. True followers of Christ are now the chosen.

In the Bible, we were chosen, as we were the first to choose G-d. He went to others first, and they denied him.
Most Christians also accept this concept of Jews as the chosen people.

I'm a Christian and I know they are God's chosen people and I don't have a problem with that, just like Israel is God's chosen country, He has always had His hand on her.
