Not too long ago, I was flipping through channels on my TV. I came across an infomercial on one of the religious channels which stated that Christians would be fulfilling Biblical prophecy if they paid for a Russian or Ethiopian Jew to immigrate to Israel. Don't get me wrong. I know that the Russian and Ethiopian Jews have it rough, so I don't blame them for wanting to go to Israel. However, the Christians weren't being encouraged to help them for altruistic reasons. I remember a Christian woman on the infomercial saying something like, "The Bible says that anyone who helps Israel will be blessed, and I want to be blessed." And remember, they want to help fulfill Biblical prophecy! Whatever happened to helping people just for the sake of helping them? And why do I doubt that the same people who would donate money to this program would be likely to join a group like, say, Amnesty International?

What is your perception of us Indians (from India)? I know when we are in the west we do a lot of crooked stuff, White people often take a bit of time to figure out the stuff we get up to, I simply think it's cos we are just creative, what s your opinion?

It’s a well know fact about Gypsies too, being crooked and dodgy, I simply see them as just being Indian (I don't know if you knew, gypsies are actually Indians who started traveling like a thousand years ago) and are popularly known as being great musicians (creativity)

Say hello to the next generation of Christian Super Sleuth! I have come, like Jesus take 2, to smite the naysayers and shove the entirety of proven scientific evidence down their smug lab-coated faces.

Hail to the king, baby! Hallelujah!

The problem is, I don't know where to start. Do you have any clues? I am looking for things like burning bushes, the leprechaun's pot of gold, pillars of salt, Atlantis, Noah's Ark, or even the remains of a Pharaoh's army under the Red Sea, etc.

I guess I'll start with that last one. Know a place where I can get a good deal on scuba equipment?

If you call 911, by the time they get there it might be too late..
If you come out, you might get beaten up, but surely you will cause some damage to those bastards.
What is your choice?

When problems come I crumble and don't know how to solve them. I swear I go to Him and find no answers, just more problems. How do I cope?

And Yes, God exists, so save your breath.

A Manual for Alcoholics Anonymous: THE AKRON MANUAL, published by the Akron group in late 1939 or early 1940 includes a list of recommended reading for newcommers.
Among the suggestions is "The Unchanging Friend", a series (BrucePublishing Co., Milwaukee). but I haven't been able to find any information what so ever regarding this.
Any information will be helpful.
Thanks Bent

Really just bloody popped out of nowhere while i was doing my purchasing assignment concerning e-commerce! What i mean is, for example, childhood stories always depict people buying stuff from people in a shop....what if they were re-written to the form of people buying stuff from machines that auto-replenish itself with modernized supply chain systems (not like robots) using RFID? Or for instance, kids read books online instead of reading storybooks etc.....

What do you think will happen? Will future generations be more receptive to technology? Will they forget the thread of humanity that exists in our childhood stories (I also understand that it depends on the author and how he writes it, but its just random thoughts!)?

Would you oppose such modernization?
Would you wanna live in such a world?
Would you tell your kids such bedtime stories?
Is it really bad for this to happen?

Dammit, i need to get back to my assignment!!!

Why some believers of different religions, in different parts of the world, simply do not see out of the frame of their religion and judge others according to their beliefs? An example is that Catholich (mine) Church does not agree with homosexualtiy, therefore some of my friends have negative opinion about gays and lesbians, because our Book does not approve it. There's many more examples, but I will not list them here (I have already been standing in front of the wall here). Again, it is not meant against any religion, any faith, any believer! I am simply asking why should I strictly follow my Book and therefore dislike gays and lesbians, because my faith does not allow me to be one of them. I simply leave them alone and respect their different way of living, different look, different faith, whatever. Why some people set their minds in their religious framework and see no meter further?

I am hestitant to ask a such a question as this, because it could mean being honest with myself, and setting myself up for ridicule, but I have chosen to do so, and accept what the consequences may be.
As a child growing up I was conditioned to survive through dysfunction, drama, and the pain that is created from that. It was through this pain that I was able to experience myself. Now as an adult I tend to create drama around me, because I justify it as a means of success. You see if there is nothing to overcome then how do you know what you have accomplished. I always thought that conflict was something I had to have in order to value myself, or measure my self worth. I keep one foot in one world and the other foot in the next. Should I stay should I go? Afraid to take a step foward, backwards, and just to take a step. I have chosen a profession of healing(massage therapy) and I am very capable of healing others, but I cannot heal myself. I know the answers are within, but I do not

From the site: http://www.gotquestions.org/Heaven-perfect.html

This statement is rather telling: "If some of our loved ones are not in Heaven, we will be in 100% complete agreement that they do not belong there."

This is in direct violation of the notion of free will, which is often a part of Christian teachings.

Since the Bible nullifies the concept of free will, why bother teaching it to people? Besides, it's not like free will is actually a good thing, so I'm not sure why some people claim that it is.

With all of the issues with lettuce, spinich, and now tomatoes recently I have decided not to serve a salad course with Thanksgiving dinner this year. I would love to serve a vegatable (the main dinner has too few, but I don't want to add there) or some other yummy - and possibly healthy - first course. Stuffed artichokes are out becuase my guests don't like them. Any have an idea that does not involve raw produce? I actually like my in-laws and don't want to serve them e-coli or salmonella.
