I want to start and atheist and agnostics club on campus but I've ran into some barriers. First of all I need 9 other people who want to join but I don't know how to ask someone? Being Atheist or Agnostic is not something someone advertises. Second of all, what would a club like this talk about or do. I've already decided that the club will do charity and that criticism of other religions will eb prohibited and that we would try and find more similarities rather than differences between religions. But what else? Anyone have any ideas?

i think had one last saturday and it was so real and it creeps me out. i was cleaning my CD cabinet and i was holding a sarah brightman CD, then my brother aproached me, then i turned back and i saw him standing next to a stack of CDs behind me. my mom was sitting on an armchair. at a split second, i felt that that kind of situation happened to me before. everything was in the exact and precise position. i'm not exaggerating but i blacked out for several seconds as if i was having a head rush. this kind of thing happened several times before and they creep me out. is this a de javu or what? is de javu real? and what explanation can you give for it?

thanks a lot :)

Or, if you look better than average, do you tend to look down upon people who look less than average?

I've always wondered that.

Come on, people, BE HONEST NOW!

Mark 4:26-29 "This is what the kingdom of God is like. A man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain--first the stalk, then the head, then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest has come." What does the parable mean? What is Jesus intending to teach? This parable has always confused me.

This will probably get erased, whatever. I have been through some things. What I am wondering is why girls as young as 8 wear short skirts and revealing shirts, yet when they get hit on or molested, everyone yells "that's sick". Pedophilia is not good, but neither is having children dress like whores but only say pedophilia is wrong but whorish looking children is ok.

We have to clean the bathrooms ourselves, and me and my roommate are the only clean ones. We're sophomores in college -- why are some people so dirty and disgusting!?

I found a scroll at the base of a tree in a wooded area, it was rolled up and stuck in the root. I didnt touch it but could see the words where written in green and comprised of one word repeated, caw.

I again past by the same tree weeks later and the scroll was gone and in its place was a red rock which I looked under and noticed various seeds and a bit of string. I took some of the seeds cause I wanted to ask a botanist friend what type they might be. He didnt know for sure, but guessed some of them where legume.

As I walked away form the site an owl appears and landed in a tree beside me. I think it flew a pattern of a pentagram over top of me, fluttering to branch to branch. It was a tiny owl. It was looking right at me.

I have had terrible luck ever since. What can I do to right my trangression and get my life back?

i'm a christian and a wiccan at the same time, :) confused? it's because the bible was altared, in the bible's before king james it said: thou shalt not suffer a poisoner to live.not witch wich means that the old test. doesnt have anything against witches, infact back then (in old test. times) the priests were shown to use witchcraft as a religious practice, but along the way they did it less (people thought it made them gods, they started getting worshipers) and then christ came and said not to use magick anymore (most likley for that reason) so it isnt going against god "if you know how to use it the right way" use it the way god would have wanted you to.
i dont serve two masters, i have one god, not two i worship the one god, no others! but i believe there is a goddess if you read the Genesis then you will see that god was speaking about more then one god, like in this Genesis 3:22 "and the lord god said, behold, the man is now become one of "us" to know good and evil
and in prov.

Ok, now before I get stones thrown at me I am a black female, but this is something that has been bothering me for some time. How come everytime I go through a lower class black neighborhood and people are living in houses that are literally falling apart, they have all these nice huge SUV's, and other more expensive type veichles parked out front? Shouldn't you worry about fixing your house before you go and buy that $50000 dollar SUV?

Vehement arguments with self righteous religious people who "know" they're right and think they are the only people in the whole world who, by way of their absolute KNOWLEDGE that they have all the answers and that if only people would believe that the other 5 billion humans god created in his image that aren't like them are going to hell, just maybe, they could bask in his light with them?

&: A shot in the dark here on the other ½-

Self righteous atheists, equally positive logic explains all that is, even though everything about the Universe is completely illogical, proven by how thinking about questions such as, "what was there before the big bang?" & "if the universe is expanding, who's space are we taking up?" torture the logical mind. Another "guess": Sure as the religious nuts feel Yahoo Answers is THE place to proselytize, the atheists feel just as sure they're robbing people of their faith with pure cynicism & lack of creativity, Right?

Or am I in bizarro world?

Anything mildly entertaining or un-pc they're in with their 'oh, you must love everyone' comments like a shot. You're not clever or interesting - you are dull. I fart in your general direction.

If you're born gay, then you're gay, what is this "experimenting" about, to find out wether someone like to be gay or not, if that's the case, then you are not born gay, you choose to be gay.
