Yes, and the first case of diarrhea they all have will be blamed on the burritos they ate the day before, not the bathroom.
Lots of things you can do. Clean it before YOU use it, buy some rubber gloves and some disinfectant spray, and have at. Or move. Or tell them you and your clean friend will clean it, for money. Threaten to call the powers that be in the dorm if they do not cooperate. You and your friend clean it, without comment.
Teach the nasty ones how to clean it, set up a schedule, the ones who do not participate get voted out, or threaten to call their Moms.
People are dirty and disgusting for lots of reasons. They think it is funny to be a slob. They never were taught better. They do not know how to clean. They get off on grossing other people out. They do it for attention, or to brag about it and get attention that way. They think they are thumbing their noses at authority. They are putting down those people who have to clean it up, it is a way to be superior to housekeepers, janitors, you and your clean roommate. They do it for revenge. Their Mommies did it for them . They are from priveledged households, and they were raised to think that it is the maid's job. They do it because they are mentally ill. They so it because they are away from parental authority for the first time, and are thumbing their noses at their parents. It is the good ole boy thing to do at college. They do it to deliberately inconvenience the next person in line to use the bathroom [you].They do it because they do not care, about the filth, the disease, or you.
And it is not just the guys, girls do it, too. For the same reasons.
Please tell me these slobs are not preparing your food! Ewwwww!
Good luck, you may have to move, and ask around first to see if the new group is clean, check the bathroom before you move in.. You may find a group of fellow sufferers, who have escaped from a similar situation, and found each other.

The only fair solution is to employ a cleaner (yes, I'm serious). If you cannot agree on a basic standard of cleanliness or a rota for cleaning, agree to share the cost of a cleaner once or twice per week. The cost between six should be negligible.
Remember that the guys in your dorm are probably dirty out of laziness, not choice. I am sure, if given a way of having a clean bathroom without having to do any work, they would take it!

I know how you must feel, had the same problem rent a place & share with 2 others. I made it a point of cleaning the shower & toilet after work when they are likely to whitness. The man doesn't even bother. The lady is slowly coming to, once I saw her clean the toilet bowl & sink, I wanted to capture the activity on camera. But then there are some who wont notice if its clean or not . Some probably thinks its cleans itself!

Thats what unis all about! Be the clean freak if you want mate, but you will be fighting an uphill battle. We had a policy in our bathroom: take your things in with you, dont leave pubes in the bath tub, and wear flip flops - thats it. Our policy with the dishes was: if you need to use a dish/cup, get it out of the sink, wash it before you use it, and put it back where you found it. Simple.

I run a youth hostel and have similar problems. Its a losing battle. Some people have a good upbringing others don't and they're scum bags.
Start a rota, each week a single person is responsible for cleaning. That way if others make a mess you can have a go at them and when people have to do their bit they will realise.

You will probably have to suck it up and clean up after the pigs. Their moms probably did everything for them so it's easy for them to do nothing. If you can stand it try letting the bathroom stay dirty till one of them gets the point. You have obviously become their clean up crew. Maybe you could also tell them their dirty pigs and if they can't clean up after themselves then stop using the bathroom.

Ummm... Do what I did, and buy an awful lot of Scrubbing Bubbles. Believe me, girls are way grosser in many ways. I've gone entire semesters where I was the only one who cleaned, and mildew was growing on their dirty laundry in a corner of the bathroom. Keep your shower stuff in your room, so they won't be tempted to use it. Get one of those Oust timed spray things and put it in there on a high setting. Wear flip-flops when you need to go in there.

Most men are filthy slobs. I don't understand why the other guys aren't cleaner if they know they have to clean it too. That was one thing I hated about living in the dorms. But we had like 20+ guys using one common bathroom, and it was nasty; urine everywhere, snot, feces, spit, blood, condoms, semen, bandaids, hair, etc. It was disgusting! I would try to use other restrooms on campus as much as possible.

My brother had to share a dorm/apartment with 7 other guys. It was disgusting, I mean you couldn't believe some of the stuff.
But they had meetings about it and made signs to put on their bathroom doors to say don't be so f-ing disgusting.

their mama's did everything for them. when my son was in college and had roommates, he had to teach them how to do laundry, iron their clothes, use a dishwasher, etc...geez, i taught him how to do his laundry and other household chores by the time he was 10 yrs old. there is a whole generation of kids who don't know how to do anything for themselves. how are they going to become self-reliant in the real world?? at least you're clean and can take care of yourself. if the other guys are leaving dirty clothes, towels, etc in the bathroom, put them inside their pillow cases along with the pillow...let them get a good whiff of their nasty laundry. make a rotating schedule for cleaning the bathroom...i don't know how you can enforce it, but you and your clean roommate need to tell the other slackers to do their part to keep your dorm clean. good luck with this.
