Vehement arguments with self righteous religious people who "know" they're right and think they are the only people in the whole world who, by way of their absolute KNOWLEDGE that they have all the answers and that if only people would believe that the other 5 billion humans god created in his image that aren't like them are going to hell, just maybe, they could bask in his light with them?
&: A shot in the dark here on the other ½-
Self righteous atheists, equally positive logic explains all that is, even though everything about the Universe is completely illogical, proven by how thinking about questions such as, "what was there before the big bang?" & "if the universe is expanding, who's space are we taking up?" torture the logical mind. Another "guess": Sure as the religious nuts feel Yahoo Answers is THE place to proselytize, the atheists feel just as sure they're robbing people of their faith with pure cynicism & lack of creativity, Right?
Or am I in bizarro world?

I only clairvoyantly knew all this before I ever set foot in another question, (still haven't actually) because I was sent here by the ONE TRUE RELIGION to tell you guys all the REAL DEAL. See...... And I was going to share the TRUE word with you about that which is both ungood AND nonbad at once, (for it is neither the alpha or omega but rather the exact center, known as the MEDIAN) but Now I will choose not to share THE TRUE WORD WITH YOU because somebody gave me a THUMBS DOWN. A THUMBS DOWN is NOT UNGOOD NONBAD but rather UN-NONBAD which is all that is not OK.
So, I'm gonna just hold off on gettin' you folks the REAL answers for a bit. If thats OK.

Welcome.
Yes, that's pretty much the way it works around here. ha ha.
Well, at least sometimes. There are some real questions if you look hard enough.
Currently everyone is pretty divided between the following: Yahoo's overzealous, knee-jerk reaction to deleting questions and suspending users, Atheists trying to use their own brand of logic against Christians and vice versa, Atheists and Christians alike trying to convert Muslims, and some trying to pick up where the "What Should I Do? Retard" left off. If you're not familiar with the WSIDR, his questions were to present a senario in one sentence then ask "What should I do?" He had multiple ID's and flooded the board with his own brand of _____ (humor?????).
You grow a thick skin really quick around here. So far, no converts to anything yet. Stick around any you'll either get drawn in to the whole mess, or you'll leave after a couple of days. I hope you stick around. :)

good, I do no longer often ask questions there. yet most of the biology I be taught is from books. i'm getting greater appropriate advice than i might right here on Y/A, and usually the biology is greater useful. jointly as i come across R&S a passable place to allure to close out and have fellowship with different believers, or confer with misplaced atheists, the biology area is far less crammed with knowledgeable women and men. persons there tend to grant short, terse solutions and that they like to present their innovations as though there is no longer something greater to be pronounced, they regularly declare the definitive reality, which isn't useful and comparatively. Obnoxious. they are additionally much less companies to source their fabrics. i visit pass and post a question there appropriate now, which you may have the potential to maintain on with it and observe what I propose.

No, you are not in bizarro world, just the real world. With this comes opinions and freedom of speech. It's not any different than speaking about politics, everyone has their own opinion on it but does not necessarily mean it's fact. I guess the best thing to do is stay away from topics of this nature, because they will never be solved.

Congratulations. You just summed this section up very nicely.
Then again there are the people like me who just believe what I believe and don't try to force their beliefs on others. Enjoy the arguing. I'm going to try to stay somewhere else, though some of the questions from both sides are too tempting to not answer.

one thing you will encounter is the religion police, the group that no matter their religious affiliation or lack there of will try to ram their beliefs down every ones throat and if you don't like it they will harass you and call you names. personally this type behavior smacks of the gestapo tactics of the nazi's. and from your rant you sound like you just might be one of the henchmen. relax, people have a choice to believe what they want just like you do, if you don't like christians (or any other religious group for that matter) and their message then don't read their questions...its as simple as that.
this applies to all religions, the atheists, agnostics, humanists, etc.

Pretty much, you forgot one group the, people here that find this all very funny, and that it too easy to poke fun at the people who take themselves too seriously. Oh yeah once and a while there is a serious question, but only once and while.

I'm sorry... did I somehow misinterpret your intentions with this "question"? The words pot and kettle keep popping into my head for some reason.

One concern, you will find, is that both sides have a hardcore portion of people who "know" they are "right", which means the otehr side is "wrong".
because of this overweening arrogance, sparks fly all the time
