I want to recycle milk cartons. The recycling facility near me doesn't take them. The ones that do are more than a 2 hour's drive from me. I thought I could mail them but they said, "We don't take garbage through the mail." I don't see how this is garbage! I think they are more concerned about following procedure than they are about protecting nature.

I think that we should work to save the millions of healty trees that are cut down every year to make paper. The best solution is right in front of us- to recycle the paper we already have.

What am I supposed to do? I live in Detroit, Michigan & the facility that takes them is in Saginaw. Should I drive all the way up there just to deliver 60 milk cartons & then if I get there late, sleep in my car? Maybe I should just continue to save them up for another year until I get the opportunity to go to Saginaw for a vacation? LOL! That would be a hygeine problem & although they're clean, would invite mice.

I found the following verses in the Bible, 1 Corinthians, King James Version. In all these verses Paul explicitly writes that he writes his own words and opinions, and not God's word.

"But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment." (7:6)

"But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away."( 7:12).

"Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful." (7:25).

This is not meant as an attack on your faith, but I am curious what you think.

Personally I believe it was own hard work that landed me the job. God did not prepare me for the interviews. He did not dry clean my suits. He didn't clear traffic so I would get there on time( I left early). These are all things that I did because of my own drive. Why should some absentee voter of a deity get any credit for my hard work?

Past Halloweens I always had parties with friends and saw real horror Halloween movies all night. This year, for the first time I'm having a Halloween Party for friends and family, and I'm having trouble thinking of a film that will please all.
It has to be a film that fits the Halloween Spirit BUT my grand mother is going to be there and I don't think she will appreciate anything like Silent Hill and similar (although she loves modern movies and different styles). And also my cousin (who is 19 years old and is the youngest person in the party) is really easy scared so I don't want to put her out.
Can you advice me any good movie?
I was thinking that maybe my best choice would be a scary (funny or romantic) movie, but I’m open to other suggestions!

Several times in Psalms, David talks about salvation but the book of Romans tells us that if we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and that He was raised from the dead, we are saved. That did not happen in the Old Testament. So what was David talking about? Was salvation available to them through sacrifice? Could it not be taken away if the sacrifice was rejected? How costly must atonement have been?I really want to know.

earlier i ran into the mother of my friend who is an extremely intelligent, good-natured and sensitive girl but whose life is not working out. she suffers from severe depression and there may also be something else. I know where it comes from; the relationship with her mom. It makes me so depressed to know it may be too late. I've tried to help her but either her mom intervenes or she just doesn't have enough strength to pursue a path to a brighter future and she is already 26. I won't go into detail regarding everything about her life because it would be too long but it breaks my heart to know that somebody so beautiful could have a completely different life if they were brought up in a healthy family environment (she can't study, doesn't go out, she's always at home or at the doc's.

What are your thoughts on that & remember - you can't judge someone's life from your perspective and the kind of person you are. Some people just can't try as hard as you can no matter what.
