Born Again Christian said in one of his answers that
evolution was voodoo science and speaking of the Big Bang therory he stated "why would anyone want to unconditionaly accept an unproven guess as fact."
my question is this... isn't that the same thing as unconditionaly believing in a god as fact just for the simple reason is that god can not be proven?

The money would go to buying a new house where our son can grow up living happily away from gangs of youths that take drugs, smoke and drink beer.

Thanks for taking the time to look!!!

I noticed that people in my work place smile and enjoy others no matter what they are saying, eventhough they are making fun of them, but when socializing with others that have a lower rank regarding the chain of command they treat people without respect or very careless about what the person says.

I think this well apply to all the prophets, since God if he exists sees all those hundreds of millions believers and then he well save him just because of them not because he is right. Does that make sence some how?

I used to be Christian and apparently some of the tenets have stayed with me. I am Buddhist now but it must be flavored with some residual Christianity. Someone copy and pasted this as an aswer to a question I had and it just grabbed my attention.
THIS IS THE JEWEL at the heart of Christianity. This is it, what it is all about....

Matthew 38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

I asked on politics but they were very sad :( Most of them think that Iraq flew the planes into the WTC. So scary.

So I ask you on here because I know you better. I protested on Sunday with the sign "Torture is un-american" because...the slide into totalitarianism is what bothers me the most. Now I've invested money to make a good sign and wanted to ask if you could come up with something better. Thank you :)

My questions are these: How much can another person negatively influence a reading? What does it mean when all the cards are reversed? If I am using three different guides to help with what the cards mean, do I just pick the meaning that feels right?

Last night I was watching the Discovery Health Channel where a baby was born with an identical head attached to hers. This other head (with no limbs and only part of a spine) had a different brain but basically used the normal twin's resources to exist. This "parasitic twin" as they call it did not have it's own lungs, nor heart but showed it's own individuality. Although it couldn't make sounds it demostrated emotion and reflexes.
My question is, for those who believe that we as humans have a soul,
1.do you think that this partial attachment was considered a human being although it couldn't function without the other twin's blood supply and organs?

2.Did it have a soul?

3.There was an operation performed to separate the parasitic twin (which of course died). Do you consider that murder?

Just curious as to what people think of events like this.
