The Sabbath being the seventh day is not the past. The Bible says that in the end times a leader will come to deceive and to think to change laws and times. He has already done that .Jesus followed the seventh day as the Sabbath and so did the early church. Also the dates were not mixed up either. For the Jews have never stopped keeping the Sabbath. They know when the Sabbath is........Saturday (by the way is the meaning of the word)

Since Sabbath is from the Hebrew Shabbat, it's really only fair to call that the true one. It begins 18 minutes before sundown on Friday evening and ends after nightfall on Saturday, when you can see three stars. If you live in a city, aim for about 40 minutes after sunset.
The reasons for the slightly longer than one day timing are so that 1) you can light the Shabbes candles before the sun actually sets; 2) the full day of rest is covered, so your time can be off somewhat and you've still observed the full day; and 3) observed well, it's such a beautiful time that we don't want it to end. Eighteen is the Hebrew number for life.

The weekly Sabbath day is on the seventh day of the week, Saturday, just as it has been from the time of creation. It has never been changed, although some well-meaning christians have tried to transform Sunday into a sabbath.

The true Sabbath is Saturday. During that period of time, they followed a different calendar, which made Sunday the first day of the week. It's like Christ being born in December? If you do the exegesis, you'll find that His birth was closer to Oct-Nov. I know I'm going to start a war with this one, but Jesus didn't die on Easter Sunday as many are led to believe. Easter was a pagan Holiday that worshiped the god of fertility. The rabbit is a symbol for fertility. I don't concern myself with dates because it not important. All I know is that my Savior died on the cross for something as imperfect as me......... NMT

The "true Sabbath" would depend on your faith. Jewish people hold Saturday sacred. Christians hold Sunday sacred.
The reason being is, Jewish people hold the last day of the week as their day to rest in the Lord. Christians celebrate they day our savior rose from the dead.
In either case, the day itself begins at sundown. For the Jewish people, sundown on Friday. For Christians, sundown on Saturday.
Catholics who use the Liturgy of the Hours will understand the "sundown" bit because we have two "Sunday" prayers. Sunday Prayer I, which is Saturday night. And Sunday Prayer II, which is Sunday night.

I do not answer this question from a religious stance More so common sense, I would say that sat ends the week, and Sunday starts it. So sat would be the day of rest, and the true sabbath.
I wish you well

If you read the Holy Scriptures (Genesis), you will find that the Shabbat is from sundown Friday to sundown Saturday. It is told in there.
