i can not say that i don't believe in ghosts, the last house my parents lived in a woman had died in and all i can say is there was one night when i was in high school and i remember laying in bed and all of the sudden i could hear someone whispering in my ear and as i begian to focus on the voice i could tell it was a woman and then i got so scared i threw the blankets over my head! But this happened to me before i knew anyone had died in the house, there where other things that happened to me and my mom too, first time she was pregnant was the first time she saw a ghost, she explained that it looked like me in a white gown, (they always said i look just like my fathers mom) but when my mom told my dad about this ghost and described it to him, my dad told her if she saw it again he would have her commited! My grandma died before my parents ever met and she described my grandma perfectly to my dad and it scared him, a short time later my dad's dad died.
So i would say yes i believe in there exsistance.

My children and I have all seen ghosts. The house we lived in for seven years had ghosts in it. There was a big grey cat, an old man, a woman and a mean boy. In our house now we have seen a tall man and a young child. We haven't been able to tell if it is a girl or a boy. These are all peaceful; except one time when my son was four he was sitting on my bed and he said the mean boy would not let him get down. It was very strange because my old cat who did not like the children was sitting right beside him on the bed staring at the end of it.

Ghosts can be seen as spirits, smoke, ectoplasm, or full bodied figures. they can also be invisible and otherwise interpreted as the wind. Such as a sudden wind rushes up from nowhere. I belive in miraculous things happening but not the common figment of ghosts.
I have encountered a poltergeist which knocked over a grandfather clock onto me. The Clock took four people to move, wind would not have been able to push it over. i broke my right arm and leg as well as three of my fingers. don't doubt your gut when these things pop up.
Blessed Be.

I had never seen any, but don't you think that so many people from all cultures along centuries can not be all of them wrong? really I'm so curious as you are, I also would like to know as certain the existence of such thing, if could be named so.

I have, i have been sitting there watching tv and I will see someone go by me and think its my brother until I realize i'm home alone. It doesn't scare me other than I get chills up my spine, specially when I see this at night.

I believe I saw a ghost when I was quite young, but over the years I've decided that since my recollection was hazy, it was best to chalk it up to a strange memory taking on new meaning as my life progressed (I may have added details after I found out relatives' dates of death and stuff).

HOWEVER, my grandmother passed away on May 22 this year. One night, during her sickness - as she lay in a coma she had finally slipped into - I couldn't fall asleep, even with the aid of a very powerful sleeping pill that I took at about 10pm. I finally just went to bed, around 12:15am. I looked at the clock a few minutes later and it was 12:27. I had this feeling of "ahhhh, yes, there it is, sleep." And it was sooo peaceful. The next day, my mother called to tell me my grandmother had died - at 11:28 pm the night before. 11:28pm my grandmother's time was 12:28am my time.

Since then there have been a couple of things that could have been either my imagination or just 'strange' things. So one night, after one of these 'strange' things happened, I kinda said, "Grandma, if you're trying to contact me, you have to really let me know it's you!"

A few days later, my mother did a pretty terrible thing regarding my grandmother's belongings. She basically said she was going to sell them to a stranger as a 'lot' rather than let me buy them from her individually (but did say that if the offer was low, then she'd let me buy them from her). I was hurt and devastated, even though I know my mother is a pretty hateful and vicious person. I was so upset that my grandmother's beautiful belongings were going to be sold outside the family without me even getting a chance to pay for them myself - so I can pass them on to my girls.

That night, as I was rocking my youngest to sleep, I began to think of my grandmother. The moment I thought of her, I heard a 'plink.' It was a music box. There are two in my girls' room - one was my baby music box that the girls can wander around with, the other was my grandmother's - a cheap little thing that plays, "Memory," from "Cats." I assumed it was the one my girls played with and I kinda instinctively turned to where it was in the room. I heard another plink and realized it wasn't coming from that one. Kind of stunned, I looked up to where the one of my grandmother's was - on a shelf where my children can't reach it - and it hasn't been touched since June, when I put it up there.

At that moment, it plinked two more times and was silent. I called my husband in the room, and I was absolutely in tears - of joy, not fear.

You see, the very first musical I ever saw was when I was probably in my late teens - and it was "Cats" - and my grandmother took me to it. "Memory" was her favorite song from the musical, and she used to hum it frequently.

I am not the type to explain strange occurrences by pointing to the supernatural. I would consider myself a skeptic - and I've been skeptical of things that have even happened to me. But in this instance - to me it was just so clear that my grandmother was reaching out to comfort me - she really was more like my mother than my grandmother - that she wanted to remind me that her beautiful things that my mother is disposing of were not all that she was about. I have such wonderful memories of her. There are things I have that my mother will *never* be able to get rid of. And those are the most important things to pass down to my girls.

So that's my story ;)
